Beginner/ Intermediate Encaustics with Laura Vernon Russell This encaustics class will teach the use of beeswax, resin and pigments to apply melted beeswax to boards in a safe environment. You will learn how to make encaustic medium and paint, learn to fuse layers, create texture, and use collage and image transfer techniques. Students will be encouraged to create a narrative or “tell a story” using these exciting new skills. Saturdays, March 2-March 30, 11am-3pm (5 sessions) $115-Residents/$125-Non-Residents
