Regular & Irregular Verbs กริ ยาแท้ (Finite Verbs) มี 2 แบบ • กริ ยาแท้ปกติ ภาษาอังกฤษเรียกว่า Regular verbs คำากริยาแท้ประเภทนี้ เมือ่ จะเปลีย่ นเป็นกริยาช่อง 2 (Past Tense) และ กริยาช่อง 3 (Past Participle) ทำาได้โดย 1. คำากริยาทัวไปเติ ่ ม -ed ท้ายคำา เช่น work – worked watch – watched shop - shopped stop – stopped 2. คำากริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย -e ให้เติม -d ต่อไปข้างท้าย เช่น type – typed smoke – smoked live – lived arrive – arrived 3. คำากริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย -y และหน้า -y เป็นพยัญชนะ ให้เปลีย่ น -y เป็น -i แล้วเติม -ed เช่น cry – cried hurry – hurried carry – carried study – studied • กริ ยาแท้ไม่ปกติ ภาษาอังกฤษเรียกว่า Irregular verbs เป็นกริยาที่ไม่สามารถเติม -ed เมือ่ เป็นกริยาช่องที่ 2 (Past Tense) และกริยาช่องที่ 3 (Past Participle) แต่จะเปลีย่ นรูปหรือกริยาบางตัวอาจจะคงรูปเดิมทัง้ 3 ช่อง
