List of Proverbs and Sayings II Proverb (อ่านว่า โพร-เวิรบ ์ ) คือ สุภาษิตทีใ่ ช ้กันมานานตัง้ แต่โบร่าำ โบราณ และเป็ นทีร่ ู ้จักกันดี มักจะ ่ ความเกีย ใช ้สือ ่ วกับ ความจริงในชีวต ิ หรือ ข ้อคิดทีเ่ ป็ นประโยชน์ เช่น "รักวัวให ้ผูก รักลูกให ้ตี" ื่ เสียง มักจะ Saying (อ่านว่า เซ-อิง้ ) มักจะเป็ นวลีเด็ดๆ ทีอ ่ อกมาจากปากพวกนักปราชญ์หรือผู ้ทีม ่ ช ี อ ่ นความหมายเด็ดๆ ไว ้ เช่น "คริสเตียนไม่ใช่ศาสนา แต่เป็ นวิถก เป็ นคำาเปรียบเปรยทีซ ่ อ ี ารดำารงชีวต ิ " คำาพังเพยและสุภาษิตอังกฤษมีความสำาคัญต่อการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษมากเพราะเราสามารถหยิบยกขึน ้ มากล่าวถึงได ้ในบทสนทนาและยังเป็ นการเพิม ่ รสชาติให ้กับภาษาสนทนาอีกด ้วย เพราะคำาพังเพยและสุภาษิต เหล่านีเ้ กิดขึน ้ จากสมองของนักปราชญ์และบุคคลสำาคัญๆ โดยมีเนือ ้ ความกะทัดรัดแฝงไปด ้วยความหมายอัน ลึกซึง้ เหมาะสำาหรับใช ้เป็ นคติเตือนใจได ้เสมอ English Proverbs and Sayings _____ It takes two to make a quarrel.
