T+S Pedestrian Mall Luckily as soon as getting the architecture degree inmy college, I have been working in this area until today. In all these years, I am able to gain a lot of first hand practical experience. On one hand, I have learned how to work with real clients and meet their requirements within government regulations; on the other hand, I am still trying to find to a way to fulfill designers' passion at same time.

2010 2009

THE PRINCIPLE OF T(time) + S(space or span of time) Spatial Transform

Time Transform

A camera consistently shoots at spot A

A camera consistently shoots at a certain time or during a time span

2008 2007

2005 2004 2003 2002

A giant TV screen at spot B away from A

Different Time Span

Previous Scene or Instant Scene or Prospective Scene

2001 2000 1999 . . .

When the scene shot at spot A is performed on the screen, it can give an illusion that spot A is right next to spot B. And 3D movie technological applications will bring a more realistic effect.

Watching the preformance at another time may make us imaginably across the boundaries of time. And what will be brought to us by using computers to create a virtual scene of future world?

Next, I am going to present a design which can, I hope, ideally break time and space limitation on solid buildings. The project is assumed to be a market renovation. Renovation means change; which means new; which means hope.

In that case, T (time) + S (the span of time) Pedestrian Mall performs a scenario when S equals minus one. Certainly, S can equal zero or other minus numbers, and even positive numbers, which means we can see what may happen in the future. In my opinion, each type building has an unique purpose, for example, a residential design needs to offer a living style, a commemorative design needs offers an atmosphere, and a successful commercial case needs an attraction. Admittedly, the business operation is same important factor, but if the building could offer an attractive theme, customs would stay and come back. That is why I utilize the T+S theme.
