I
was born and nourished in an art family in which I has been raised up and immersed in the field of art ever since I was a little girl. I successfully entered the fine arts department of TungHai University. During my four years of study in the art related area, I acquired the most important concept of artwork creation through the learning of the art in various forms; that is, a fine work creation is not just a start from the basic sketch of our pure and innocent ideas but it also is an idea extension of our inner viewpoints from our experience. We communicate our perspective with the audience through our artwork; therefore, I believe that a valuable creator is the one who translates her options through the art and sharing her art work by her proper combination with her ideas and aesthetic viewpoint. During my learning process, there were three courses such as sketch, oil painting and sculpture, having influenced me a lot. For sketch, it is a keystone for all forms of art. We illustrate our ideas directly by the process of drawing and we can easily realize the concept by looking on the simple draft or even without a dedicated painting.

For oil painting, it is one of the most unique art types as the 2-D art. Not only because of the possibility for accumulate the pigment but also it is one of the closer creating materials that can express my concept straightly. In my work of oil painting, I’d like to modify the special characteristic of oil painting forming as a half-sculptor performance, and this kind of creation had influenced in the beginning of my creation on the sculpture. During my learning of sculpture, I gradually realized that sculpturing seems to be Buddhism practicing in some ways, because we were not only required to apply with all the basic art techniques and engage ourselves in advanced aesthetic thought but also to ignite the discussion of the relationship between the people and sculpture. Take the Golden Triangle Rule for example; it contains three fundamental part of creating sculpture such as idea, material and technique. It is impossible to work efficiently by conveying one complete idea without the other two. So I learn how to integrate my ideas into an art work creation from sketching to clay molding by practicing the forming technique together with the knowledge of different materials. For me, the deepest and hardest learning issue is to engaging the creation concept with the proper cooperation techniques.
Due to the precious experience, I can begin my work creation by applying with the basic realistic 3D modeling techniques, adding some symbolic deformations, degenerating to some specific body, and finally exploring the nature of sculpture. I can integrate the senses of mass, tactile and space qualities to develop a set of creation mode. In each one of my works is also presented with an emphasis on the complete experience of my life's true feelings. If someone asks me what the definition of “ART” is, I would like to answer that it is part of our life and living attitude. And the Art comes from our life experience. It is also really distinctive to every creator. Therefore, I strongly feel the broad and deep of art and I am not daring to overlook at it. So I hope to have another breakthrough in the future and I’d like to take the challenge with the combination with my previous education knowledge of art and my aesthetic viewpoint to embracing the upcoming issues, having tremendous improvements in the future.

Four basic tactile impressions to discover the essence of material and to
Represent my inner feeling
17
I
n some of my sculpture works, less colors adding or decorations are applied on the surface. I think that too much ornament on the appearance would confuse the original meaning and that the essence of sculpture would be disappearing greatly. During my creation, I often use some basic tactile impressions (e.g., accumulation, penetrate, mass, and touches) in order to discover the essence of material and to represent my inner feeling.
Touches
In my works, there are no intentions to pursue the sense of texture. Instead I want to use the sense of texture to trigger out our inner emotions and the imaginations evoked by the surface of texture.
18
The shape of the sculpture occupy the surrounding room and by it certain weight and volume. In my works, the senses of quantity represent the strength of my interior feeling and to deal the issue with the space.
Mass
Accumulation is one of the most frequent techniques that I have used in my work. Accumulation is practiced by repeated action. This is the easiest way to sense my passion with the thickness of matter and to achieve the equal satisfaction with the spirit level in Accumulations my mind.
19
Compared with the technique of accumulation, penetrating is used to present the space in three aspects such as negative, transparent and Ying. There is no real substance remain on the surface, but to deal with the skill of penetrating we need to keep making through with it as an action of accumulation. Pentrate That is why it always holds a kind of un-visual sense of possessions. Therefore, I use the skill of penetrating to challenge existing, in order to fulfill the meaning of subsist and express the powerful emotion as the “accumulation.

Due to the impact of the global economic recession, our young but highly educated people in Taiwan are facing a phenomenon of jobless opportunity and lower monthly payment. In this work, a thin layer of iron is used to reflect the difficult living situation in Taiwan. The young people are struggling to break through this status quo situation symbolized by the repeat welding.

The ozone layer of the atmosphere is being damaged and becomes thinner and thinner. And I use the plastic bag mass to represent the current situation we are facing.

It is important to keep people relationship in harmony but sometime we are forced to give way in our road of life. And I want to emphasize the sense of helplessness when we are encountering this kind of situations. We have a lot of ideas and aggressive emotions inside our mind, but we cannot behave ourselves the same way as the inner emotions. The ways we perform are more diplomatically as the smooth surface of my work; therefore, we can still figure out the realty by looking with different angles, so does my work. Sculpture

The bright reflection of stainless steel is often perceived without difficulty. And I use this bright-reflecting characteristic of stainless to express the mirror-like cultures in Taiwan. The young people lose their own cultural identity gradually while they are blindly chasing the fresh and new fashion of the world. The first step we should do is to identify ourselves while we standing in front of the reflections.

Starting from my work Releasing 1, I transfer my oil painting skill into my welding works. Releasing2 stands for the difficulty that we are facing to fulfill our life goal. The harder we work, the closer we are to the target. Such hard journey will imprint our mind with scar-like welding. One day we would appreciate the work on the reverse side, and suddenly we discover ourselves are so close to the success of life.

There were a lot of endemic species of camphor wood in Taiwan. But these species were vanishing because of the development of cities and economic growth. I molded the trunk of the camphor wood to show my concern for this ecological issue. Although the endemic species is a small part of the plants in our ecological system, but it will arouse a serious problem without their existing.

Then I think women are great for it life experience not only on the physical but also on the soul. So I use the image to shows my respect and importance for the devoted female.

We make a lot of choices during our life time. In this work, there are three of my personal images overlapped on the work to represent three choices to be made for my life (e.g., the short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals). I use the President’s office in my school as my creation idea. I use this work to express my disappointment with those people of upper management who forget their commitment once they enjoy the power at hand. They were used to declare that they will fight for student or citizen’s right during the elections time. But, they did not fulfill all the issues they had promised and even changed their saying. It may be to the concern of huge pecuniary interests under the sugar coated appearance.
