What is the Age of Aquarius?
by Allison Feehan, N.D., D.Psc., CRMT
As if we weren’t brimming with change in 2020, we are now upon the age of Aquarius. What is the Age of Aquarius even mean? “The Age of Aquarius, in astrology, is either the current or forthcoming astrological age, depending on the method of calculation. Astrologers maintain that an astrological age is a product of the earth’s slow axial precession rotation and lasts for 2,160 years, on average (one Great Year equals 25,920-year period of precession / 12 zodiac signs = 2,160 years). There are various methods of calculating the boundaries of an astrological age. In sun-sign astrology, the first sign is Aries, followed by Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces, whereupon the cycle returns to Aries and through the zodiacal signs again. Astrological ages proceed in the opposite direction (“retrograde” in astronomy). Therefore, the Age of Aquarius follows the Age of Pisces.” — wikipedia The winter solstice in December of 2020 moved us into the age of Aquarius but are we really in the age of Aquarius? Some Astrologers go back and forth with whether or not we actually moved into it or have been in it for some time. What I can confirm is that this shift will leave the element of earth and move into the element of air. There is also debate as to whether or not we are leaving the age of Pisces, the fish, the symbol of Christ and moving into more humanitarian work and more technology. I don’t believe we are leaving the word of Christ behind but rather are moving into a more technological advancement as a species. What has been agreed upon was the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter during the winter solstice back in December 2020 with seven celestial bodies moving into the sign of Aquarius this February 2021. What a ride the age of Pisces had been! So, what are we actually looking forward to? “[Aquarians] channel from the collective consciousness and ether and bring the intangible to life with their creations.” “[In the Age of Aquarius,] the power is turning over to the individual, and giving the freedom for you to choose your own reality based on what aligns with your soul.” —Adama Sesay, astrologer A we versus I mentality and an era of humanitarian pursuits is upon us. We shall begin to work together in more unison and value each person’s individuality. A reprieve if you will. We may even see a restructuring of our financial system. That might be a separate article all in its own. In order to start fresh literally everything must completely fall apart. We have the potential to shift paradigms with huge potential for progress. We all need to work together to make the standard something that benefits everyone moving forward. To me this sounds like a time for personal and spiritual growth. In Love and Light, Allison
