緣起 Origin 淡水是世界上珍貴的資源,飲用的水更是難 能可貴。然而,我們常常在無意間浪費了很 多的水資源,當下造成的影響雖然不大,但 不經意的浪費水資源卻成為我們使用水的習 慣。 Water is precious source in the world, even drinking water is much more valuable. However, we usually waste lots of water inadvertently. Maybe it's not that severe that using more water, but it's bad for us to develop a water-wasted habbit.

利用了 DSM 方法尋找水資源重複利用的各種可能性, 並選出適合著手的點。 I used DSM method to find out every posibilities of waterreused, and chosed a direction to design.

研究 Research

DSM 方法 DSM 方法原文 Design Structure Matrix,原是利用矩陣列 出項目,找出流程或者事物之間的關聯性,進而進行重新規 畫的設計方法。我利用 DSM 列出生活中利用水資源的使用 時機,並找出有關連性以及有興趣的方向著手進行設計。用 這個方式,我決定進行用飲水來進行植物澆灌的設計。

DSM Method DSM is abbreviation of "Design Structure Matrix". It is a design method that helps us to find out the relationship between things or process by listing items with matrix and do design among these directions. I decided to design the product of drinking water and watering I found by DSM.

Stop line

Stop line

當水平面低於停止線時,瓶中的水會因大氣壓力漏入瓶子裡;當水面到達停止線, 將會堵住進氣孔,使水不再漏出瓶子,直到水面變低就會再次加水。 When the water level is under th stop line, the water will drop into the vase because of the atomospheric pressure; when it is over the stop line, the water will stop dropping, until the water level is under the stop line again.

結合方向燈的腳踏車安全帽設計 用頭的動作控制燈號,為騎行增加一份直覺和安全。 Bicycle helmet with the indicator. Control it with your head, more safety for your riding.

緣起 Origin 夜間騎行是讓人心曠神怡的活動,享受夜風吹拂的感覺,為騎行增 添不少樂趣。但腳踏車並無配備方向燈,當在夜晚時,騎行安全也 成為我們所重視的事情。 Riding in the night is a comfortable activity. The feeling of the wind blowing always brings us lots of joy and happiness. Moreover, the safety of riding in the night is also very important part.

研究 Research

機構與程式研究 為了結合方向燈在安全帽之內,我們利用樂高的模組進行測 試。調整感測重力的位置以獲得更好的效果。此外,我們思 考騎乘者行進時,所有使用者應得到的燈光、聲音、感覺等 等回饋,在程式上進行修改和數據調整。

Mechanism and Program Research In order to put the indicator and the helmet together, we test the mechanism with LEGO. We adjust the position gravity sensor to make it more efficient. Besides, we figure out some feedback, such as light, sound and feeling, which is necessary information for the riders, modifying the program process and some data.

利用用電腦模擬安全帽外型及剖 面、圖案。 We used computer program to simulate the form, the pattern and the section of the helmet.

Vantus Show your direction

Ventus 利用騎行者騎乘時歪頭的動作顯示轉彎的方向燈,讓大家有更安 全有趣的騎腳踏車體驗。 Ventus shows the direction with the action that the rider tilting his/her head. It provides a more interesting and safer riding experience.

流程 Process

平時騎乘使用時和一般安全帽相 同。

要轉彎時,將頭偏向要轉的方向 1.5 秒。

Ordinarily, it is the same as a normal helmet.

Tilt your head for 1.5 second when you want to turn.

燈號開啟時發出滴答滴答的聲響。 Emit "Tick" sound when the indicator is on.

箭頭型方向燈,指示轉彎方向。 Arrowed-look light, indicate the direction.

指示燈,讓騎行者知道亮了那一邊的燈。 Lights to remind the rider that which side is glowing.

這時會顯示方向燈,並且發出滴答 的聲音讓你知道方向燈打開了。

將頭偏向另外一邊 1.5 秒後方向燈 就會關閉。

關閉後只要再將頭偏向要轉彎的方 向就可以再次開啟方向燈。

The indicator will be turn on and show the direction. It will also emit "Tick" sound to let you know it is on.

When you tilt your head to another side for 1.5 second, the indicator will be turned off.

If you want to turn on another direction's signal, you must know what to do now!

緣起 Origin 在機場的等待總是十分漫長。搭飛機機時我們需要提早到機場報到,托運行 李後就要出境等待飛機準備完成後登機。有時候遇上班機故障或者天候不佳 時,等上半天一天也是非常常見的事情。而剛好要去的目的地需要轉機時, 也需要在機場徘徊好些時間。各旅遊雜誌或單位統計旅行時最不喜歡的事情 就是等飛機以及飛機誤點了。 During the journey, we always have to wait in the airport for a long time. We must check in earlier, check our luggage, have the security check and pass the immigration. Sometimes, when the weather is not good or there are some airplane equipment troubles, it's common to wait for a whole day. Also, when we need to transfer, we need to wander in the departure lobby. Accordding to many travel magzine and research organization, the most annoying thing for the tourists is waiting in the airport and the delayed flight.

Study

Collecting several kinds of information, this helps us understand the boarding process, the limit of baggage, the airport floor plan, how others solve problems of boring, etc.

From interview we get some assumptions, and assured the main problem even clearly. The most time spend in the airport is waiting at the boarding gate. Most people go window shopping in duty free store, and eat something. For people from different country feel, no doubt, boring when they wait for boarding.

Also, we check some books and papers about public seats and emotions when people do social activities. Through these studies, we learns that “the comfortable distance about public seats,””How people evaluate public arts,”etc.

─ 生活的時尚就是對環境多一點用心

緣起 Origin 台灣的手搖杯文化非常盛行,飲料店在路邊四處林立,在夜市、商 圈更能看到人手一杯手搖杯飲料。為了能讓飲料方便攜帶,買飲料 時都會附上一個塑膠袋,這些塑膠袋由於尺寸較小,也不方便重複 利用。在享用飲料的同時,每年我們製造了大量的飲料塑膠袋,而 這些卻僅僅是為了方便我們攜帶乾淨的飲料杯而已。

Many people in Taiwan like beverage. There are lots of drink shops beside the road, and we can meet someone who is drinking at almost all the night markets or shopping district. However, we produce big amount of plastic bags at the same time. These plastic bags usually are in special size, and that is why they can't be reused.

思考量產與品牌

產品將是提帶飲料的新工具,那就 離不開一杯價值 20 到 50 元的手 搖杯飲料,因此:價格不能和飲料 差太多。

這個產品究竟要給使用者什麼心 情、買他的理由是什麼、他是裝飾 品或者是如鐵製環保筷一樣的功能 性產品?

設計過程裡考慮了材質、加工方式 以壓低成本量產。而最後也捨棄了 和飲料商合作品牌的選項,以獨立 品牌呈現,用飾品的心情做環保。

Since our design is a new thing to carry the drinks, the price must be not so far away from a cup of drink.

We consider about: What is the feeling when the customers buy our product? What's the reason to buy it? Is it a fashionable bag or a functional direction?

While we are designing, we think about the material and the processing methods. At the end, we decide run our brand.

緣起 Origin 「穀雨」是一個服務性質的活動,由成大工設系學生自主發起的寒 假營隊。到各個國中小去種下「設計思考」的種子。我們希望能夠 引導同學們離開制式教育的標準答案,重新思考事物本身,勇於結 合自身經驗和表達想法,進而解決問題。 "GuYu" is a winter camp founded by students in Industrial Design Student Association (IDSA) of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU). The purpose is to teach the elementary school and junior high students about "Design thinking". We hope that they can think freely about every problems, and solve them with their confidence and experience.

仁愛國中 第一屆穀雨我們到了南投仁

Renai Junior high

愛國中。學生來自仁愛鄉 12 個原住民小學,有賽德克族、 泰雅族及布農族、還有少數 來自滇緬的擺夷族及少數漢 人,是個多元種族的學校。 The first "GuYu" held in Nantou Renai Junior high school. Students are from 12 Aboriginal Elementary School. There are Sediq, Atayal, Bunun and some are Thai, Chinese. It's a multiracial school.
