GOTHIC ARCHITECTURE

The Church of Our Lady Lourdes has been influenced by Gothic architecture. This church exhibits the Gothic style in many of its features, including the nave, transepts, sanctuary, and ribbed dome. This church gives a feeling that it looks similar to Notre Dame de Paris because it contains many Gothic architectural elements. Most of the churches were built facing the west, but the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes faces the east to obtain morning sunlight, symbolizing the birth of new life.

The church was also built based on the transformation of Malay village houses, especially when using overhanging pitched roofs.
