The Mimesis is a cat A cat, all curled up and also open, that stretches and yawns. It’s all there. All you need to do is look and look again At first the design team members could not understand how that sketch of a cat could be a building I have in my days seen many sketches of cats, and am always overwhelmed by them, can’t get tired of them. I want to see more cats, more sketches of cats, for several seven years have gone by.

It can be seen that Mimesis Musuem is located in a relatively sparsely populated industrial area It is also because of the sparsely populated area that makes the area quieter and suitable for use as a museum. I believe that the influence of Mimesis Musuem will also allow other similar industries to settle in nearby stores.

zzzz...

The three-storey building is serviced in the basement, gallery spaces and reception on the ground floor overlooking a mezzanine with a café and staff area, while the first floor is entirely gallery space

The interior has whitewashed walls and ceilings, and marble and timber floors on the ground and first floor respectively Exterior is designed by pale gray concrete dotted with steel-framed windows

The Mimesis museum is the first building we visited in Korea It is located in a relatively sparsely populated area of Busan. When I first saw this building, I thought it was quite artistic, because the irregular design of the building and the utilization rate of natural light created the strangeness of the space Opening such a musuem in a sparsely populated area can attract other industries to settle in the surrounding stores and complete the local industry vacancies

Gamcheon Village was built during the 1920s and 30s when the Busan city administration decided to relocate its poor Korean population Around 800 families moved to the village in 1955, contributing to the growth of an ascetic religious community In 2009, a public art-themed renovation effort converted the village into a cultural hub.

THE CULTURE STEET

This street is located inside gamcheon village You can buy all kinds of souvenirs, snacks, and see how they transformed the former humble house into a storefront

You will see colorful wooden fishes scattered around the village These serve as guides for tourists as to where to go So if you see a group of fishes pointing to a direction that means there is something to discover in that particular spot

This small museum is remodeled from a house, so its size is limited However, although the sparrow is small and complete, it introduces the history of gamcheon culture village and some lt l li i li it d If t t k i d h l k

Gamcheon Little Museum

Although it takes a bumpy bus ride to get to Gamcheon Culture Village, it is really worth it to see such a beautiful scenery. Gamcheon Village was originally a place that would be covered by modern "quilts", but the locals chose to "reopen" it and turn it into a tourist attraction and pass on the culture

This is worth learning from many places. For example, the Papan village in Perak has become a ghost town because people choose to give up The culture that belongs to it is covered under the modern "quilt", It is very sad to see this situation.

DONGDAEMUN DESIGN PLAZA

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is located in Dongdaemun, Seoul DDP means the meaning of dream, design and game

Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) was designed by Zaha Hadid

Dongdaemun Design Plaza is a mixed-use complex that houses a design and fashion industry center and a historical and cultural park

Dame Zaha Mohammad Hadid DBE RA (Zaha Hadid; 31 October 1950

BUILDING'S CONCEPT

The design concept of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is "metonymic landscape". Metonymy refers to a method of indirectly describing a specific object, and Zaha Hadid synthesizes various aspects of Seoul's history, culture, city, society, economy, etc. derived from this method to create images Designed as a cultural hub in Seoul's historic district and Korea's largest fashion district, DDP consists of undulating surfaces that resemble the flow of liquid and allow for spatial flexibility

EXCELLENT CONNECTION

A major urban development landmark in Seoul, South Korea, featuring a distinctive neo-futuristic design characterized by "solid, curved and slender structural forms".

DDP landscape surrounding the ancient city walls and artifacts found during archaeological excavations before the construction of the DDP These historic features form the core elements of DDP's composition; linking park, plaza and city.

DDP Park design seamlessly integrates park and plaza, blurring the lines between architecture and nature in a continuous fluid landscape.

The DDP has 3 underground levels, 4 above-ground levels, and a main building that is 280 meters long The building is equipped with diverse public spaces, including exhibition hall, conference hall, design museum, the design lab, the academy hall, media center, seminar room, Dongdaemun History and Culture Park, the designer's lounge, and the design market. Diversity of spaces allows the DDP to provide the widest range of events spaces possible to help to bring fresh vigor and cultural vitality in the city

Dongdaemun Design Plaza is divided into 3 important parts; art hall, musuem, and design lab Art gallery serves as a launch platform for Korea's creative and cultural industries. Museum hall consists of five sections, allowing many artists to engage in the design industry and exchange their ideas The Design Playground, Design Dulle-gil (walk), Design Museum, Design Exhibition Hall and Design Lounge are located in the Museum Hall Design lab operates as an incubator for budding product designers from inside and outside the country

The exterior of the DDP is clad with 45,000 aluminium panels, including 14,000 are flat panels and 31,000 curved panels. Concrete, aluminium, steel and stone were used for the construction of the building’s exterior, while the construction of the interiors made use of materials including glass fibre reinforce gypsum, acoustic gypsum, solid acrylic panel, stainless steel, and polished stone

DDP is the most shocking building in this whole trip The whole building has a futuristic style, and its exaggerated curved aluminum panel exterior enables it to reflect most of the light so the whole building looks "glowing". The interior is even more amazing, using slopes floor to connect each level, can reach each level without stairs

Nature in the city? MVRDV's design provides a living dictionary of Korea's natural heritage for downtown Seoul. It connects city dwellers with nature. The main challenge of the Skygarden project has been to transform the 938-meter-long existing overpass into a public garden, covering the 16-meter-high steel structure with 24,000 species of flora From the beginning, MVRDV worked to transform this infrastructural element into a green sign, thereby changing the image of downtown Seoul.

There are 16 small halls in the park, including cafes, shops, exhibition halls, gardening halls, trampolines, foot baths, stages, children's theaters, information centers, etc They enhance the user experience and feature multiple staircases, elevators, bridges and escalators that connect the city to the new park. We can find that wh

In this picture you can see how MVRDV refurbished the overpass It can be found that MVRDV made the most of the existing structure and added some necessary structures such as new concrete slab to cover the tar road, and stainless steel fence.

This project of MVRDV can be said to be a wise project It has indeed played a role in connecting people with nature and shortening the distance around the city's central station. Admire the nature during the day, and admire the streamlines of lights on the bridge at night. It is not an easy task to be able to use the discarded overpass, which also emphasizes the importance of connectivity
