Mythology, like clues to the puzzle, is the tool for mankind to interpret the world. The modern cosmology is shaped by ever-changing scientific knowledge. However, is it the truth?

Humboldt, who once measured the world, said, “ the objective world, conceived and reflected within us by thought, is subjected to the eternal and necessary conditions of our intellectual being.”Without your heart settled, the world around you would crumble.

We chose Mythology as a general design theme to share the lights and answers to your questions in lives. There are 10 socks’ designs in Prescriptions from God collection. Hoping that with the background of 10 mythological stories, people can find their own way in interpreting stories. By wearing these socks, people can take these funny stories as inspirations everyday in life.

To interpret mythological stories to date, +10 carried out a bold experiment- using traditional double cylinder machines to weave the whole collection. All 10 types of socks are made by traditional socks-weaving machines and techniques. Even though socks’ colours might be restricted to the machine, we still make good use of different weaving techniques and develop special yarns. With the 10 different story lines, we weave these interesting and fun elements in socks, presenting variety as always.

Mythological stories leave room to the imagination, which is similar to what +10・10more does. Each pair of socks can have different interpretations among wearers. With various interpretations passing down for centuries, we can see the true colours of gods.

As for the doomsday, let’s deal with it under the guidance of wisdom.

Prometheus

Prometheus, the god who created humans, felt for people because of not having living resources. Therefore, one day,

while Apollo’s carriage passing by, Prometheus quickly hid the flames in a hollow fennel stalk and brought it safely down to people. Thanks to him, people are able to cook food, make

artefacts, and gain knowledge. However, this made Zeus angry. He punished Prometheus by chaining him to a cliff forever. Though Prometheus could foresee the future, he still risked

himself in stealing fire from Zeus’ hand. That was because he

Long ago, two god tribes, the Aesir and the Vanir, declared a

ceasefire. To make the agreement work, both sides spit into a barrel. After that, they decided not to let it be wasted so

they made a man out of it. This was the birth of Kvasir, the wisest man of the world. Kvasir could describe everything

precisely. He knew all poems, songs, and metaphors. He travelled far and wide throughout the world and shared

his knowledge. One day, he met evil dwarfs and was killed

in their house. They took Kvasir’s blood and mixed it with

Living in a world without stories, Anasi, a spider-like being

asked him if he could buy stories from him. Nyame agreed but set a high price. Anasi needed to find three of the most

dangerous creatures in the world, Osebo the Leopard, the

After the Ancient Egyptians died, their souls were presented to 42 assessor gods to see if they were sinless. God Anubis

administered the test by putting the deceased’s heart on one side of weighing scale against feather on the other side. If the deceased’s heart and feather were the same weight,

Osiris would keep his promise - turning their souls into stars. However, if they were heavier than the feather, their hearts would be thrown into lakes of fire and could not reach immortality.
