We B Green at 10,000 Lakes Festival It takes all of us together to make a difference. We all want future generations of festival goers to enjoy the same beautiful lakes, woods and prairies that make the 10,000 Lakes Festival so special. We are asking you to help us save the planet one recyclable item at a time. We B Green is an audience friendly recycling program aimed at reducing the amount of landfill waste generated by events at the Soo Pass Ranch through increased recycling. It’s that simple. Less Trash, Better Planet. Source Reduction is the Best Method: Think Before You Pack Take a moment and to consider the packaging of everything you bring. Choose items with less packaging, bring food and beverages in reusable containers, the Soo Pass has running water so you CAN wash plates, cups and utensils rather than disposing of them. Again, this year, look for We B Green mugs for sale at the beverage booths in the concert area that can be re-used for your favorite beverage while watching the concerts. Recycling at the Ranch When you arrive, you will be given three bags to set up a recycling station at your campsite. • A black one for solid waste • Two clear bags — one marked Aluminum • One marked Mixed for cardboard, paper, plastic and glass Simply take your full bags to the campground recycling station or if you are not up to transporting your own recycling leave it near the road and our Curbside pickup team will pick it up for you. Look for them on zero emission electric powered vehicles supplied by Electric Vehicles Unlimited. Composting at the Ranch: Bring a Bucket Our efforts last year resulted in 79 tons less in the local landfill, including capturing over 50 Tons of recycling. This year we want to exceed that by encouraging more composting. Simply bring a bucket, place your Food waste into it after your meal and bring it to one of the Recycling stations where we will compost it and use it for fertilizer. Summit Brewing has taken a big step this year in us becoming 100% green by supplying us with Summit Beverage cups in the concert bowl that are compostable, make sure if you are drinking a refreshing Summit Beer that you bring the cup to a recycling station for composting. It takes all of us together to make a difference. Help us keep the great outdoors great one recyclable item at a time.
