Welcome to our 12th Annual Bull & Female sale. We have an outstanding group of Red & Black Simmental bulls on offer this year with such uniformity and consistency. There are bulls with added performance and as always bulls with calving ease. We would like to welcome Circle Z Simmentals – Daniel Ziehr to the sale. He and his family are family friends and have been bull & female customers for many years. Circle Z is consigning 3 bulls to the sale this year from his select group of females and these bulls are sired by some of the leading AI sires. He has taken a keen interest in the Simmental industry and we look forward to working with such an ambitious and energetic up and coming producer.

Cow families are ones foundation and as you go through the catalogue you will see many that are strong influencers in our herd. These cows insure fertility combined with longevity and the real reason is their production records. We have worked diligently trying to improve and add genetics while keeping in mind our real focus efficiency. Our cows need to work for us not us working for them and I think we have managed to do this as our WW’s have improved and the uniformity of the calf crop using a select group of sires is as strong as we have seen. As always these bulls and females that we are offering this year have seen no creep feed and are the result of the cows doing their job. Since weaning the bulls have been pail fed a 14% pellet from Bullseye, free choice hay & greenfeed.

Our sale heifer group is larger this year due to the number of replacement heifers. These females on offer are a strong set of females backed by proven cow families. They are ½ sisters for the most part to the bulls and are just another piece of the puzzle when looking for consistency and uniformity. For the first time we are offering the “PICK of our 2023 Heifer Calves.” Take advantage of many years of breeding crossed with some of the most current sires.

The cattle business is not for the faint as so many things influence the outcome so hats off to all the work everyone does day in and day out. Hello and Welcome to Triangle Stock Farm 12th Annual Bull and Female sale.

First off, I want to say thank you to Michele, Vance and family for the opportunity to join this impressive lineup of Red and Black Simmentals.

My name is Daniel Ziehr and I was raised on a cattle and grain farm. I have always been a bit more invested in the cattle aspect. Through 4-H I was introduced to the Simmental breed.

Over the years of raising and showing cattle, the Simmental breed never failed to leave a lasting impression on me. Fast forward to today, from the guidance of Michele and support of my Mom, Kathy, I have a small herd of Purebred Simmentals that I am very proud of. I believe this trio of bulls reflects what I want to see the future of my herd to be. No doubt in my mind these boys will have a lasting positive impact on your herd for years to come. We were fortunate to be able to use Ambition from Wheatland Simmental and this bull follows in his sires footsteps. Many top selling bulls have been sired by Ambition and we look forward to many coming this year out of our new herdsire 111H. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash or cheque, payable at par at the sale location.The right of property shall not pass until after settlement has been made; no invoicing on buyers in attendance, unless previous arrangements have been made. Every animal sells to the highest bidder and in cases of disputes, the auctioneer’s decision will be final. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.

BIDDING Each animal will sell to the highest bidder... no by-bidding will be permitted.

DISPUTES Bidding will be reopened between the parties involved in dispute. If no further bidding is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision on all disputes will be final.

ANNOUNCEMENTS All announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay close attention to such disclosures.

BREEDER’S GUARANTEE Should any bull fourteen (14) months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on females known to be breeders, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the date of purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached fourteen (14) months of age. The seller will have the right and privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

EXCEPTION GUARANTEE In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

GUARANTEE Each animal becomes the purchaser’s risk immediately after the animal is sold. All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Simmental Association, with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness.

CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Simmental Association, unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.

LIABILITIES All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The seller and facility owner assume no liability, legal orotherwise, for any accidents that occur. The buyer must look to the seller for fulfillment of all guarantees and representations made hereunder.

RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale.

PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the auctioneer or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.

DELIVERY We will assist in arranging transportation wherever possible. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.

INSURANCE Will be available sale day. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
