SAFETY FIRST - FOR SAFETY

RX6010C(PC)

Most accidents can be avoided if basic safety instructions and regulations are followed. Always follow the safety regulations and avoid any dangerous situation to prevent an accident.

You can be unexpectedly injured if inspecting or servicing the tractor without full knowledge of it. Read the service manual carefully before starting servicing and follow the instructions for servicing, maintenance and inspection to prevent any injury.

WARNING • California Proposition 65 Warning Inhaling exhaust gas can cause cancer or damage the generative function leading to infertility.

TRANSMISSION TRANSMI SSION

When working on the tractor, wear safety gloves, safety shoes, ear plugs, safety goggles, safety helmet, working clothes, etc. appropriate for your working environment. Never wear loose fitting clothing or a tie which can be caught to the rotating part. According to the statistics, most accidents that occurred with rotating parts are due to this inappropriate manner of wearing clothes.

The service should be performed in well-ventilated area. If the engine should be started in an enclosed place, the exhaust gas pipe should be installed.

Check the bolts for tightness before starting the engine after servicing the hydraulic system.

Use a cardboard or plank when checking leakage.

FRONT BRAKE AXLE

REAR BRAKE AXLE

Do not charge the frozen battery. Charging the frozen battery can cause explosion. Let the battery warmed up to ambient temperature (16°C, 60°F) before charging.

2.7 Use of appropriate tools and equipment

2.8 Handling of hazardous materials

Use the appropriate tools in proper size. If an inappropriate tool is used, it can be slipped which can damage parts or injure you.

Do not confuse units (mm, inch, etc.).

Use the air impact wrench only when unscrewing the bolts or nuts. Such wrench should not be used when assembly precisely machined parts which its tightening torque should be strictly observed. It can cause malfunction.

ENGINE ENGINE

GENERAL GENERAL

SAFETY SAFETY FIRST FIRST

SAFETY FIRST - SAFETY TIPS

Be careful of a socket popped out due to the turning force when using the air impact wrench. Especially, be extra cautious when working on connection or socket with joint.

Remark • All KIOTI's genuine parts contain no asbetos.

These materials should be rinsed or wiped away after spraying oil.

FRONT BRAKE AXLE

When lifting the tractor with a hydraulic jack or a hoist, fix it firmly and install the auxiliary support. Never work under the tractor if the support and the hydraulic jack (hoist) are not installed.

When using a hydraulic jack or a hoist, do not use it over the limit of the equipment and the conveying belt.

Make sure that the hydraulic lock operates properly before using the hydraulic jack. Improper use of lock can cause a serious accident.

Check the buttons and operating direction of the hoist before using it. Improper operation can cause a serious accident.

Do not use wooden blocks or bricks as support under the tractor. As the tractor's weight is continuously applied to them, they can be broken or collapsed.

SAFETY SAFETY FIRST FIRST

RX6010C(PC)

Do not open the radiator cap when the radiator is hot. Hot coolant or steam can be surged leading to a serious scald.

Do not set a hand or a foot into the tractor's rotating blade or PTO shaft.

Be extra careful when you are in loose clothes.

Check the surface temperature of the container before draining the engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, etc. If it is hot, let it cool down before draining it. There is danger of burning.

Be careful not to get caught by the rotating engine cooling fan.

Perform any service on the engine parts (muffler, exhaust manifold, turbocharger, etc.) only when they are not hot.

GENERAL - RELATIVE SPEED RATIO OF FRONT WHEELS

RX6010C(PC)

If this relative speed ratio is not proper during driving with front wheel drive, the tractor may not be driven straight forward and the mechanical shift system may not be disengaged. Also, the durable life of front tire, the gears for front axle or the drive connecting system for front axle may be affected.

▶ Firstly, calculate the speed reduction ratio of the front axle referring to the arrangement table of the main gear shift and front axle gear. (Refer to the section 6.1 "Gear arrangement.") Arrangement of main shift gear and front axle gears Front gear

TRANSMISSION TRANSMI SSION

The speed ratio between the front axle and the rear axle is calculated with the gear arrangement of the transmission and the front axle. (Refer to the figure for gear arrangement in section 6.1.)

REAR HST AXLE

The relative speed ratio for front wheel is calculated as follows:

CLUTCH CLUTCH

ENGINE ENGINE

7.1 Calculation for relative speed ratio of front wheels

GENERAL GENERAL

It is ideal to set the speed of the front wheels to 1 ~ 5% faster than the one of the rear wheels when the front wheel drive is in operation. However, some agricultural or industrial tires may not fulfill this function. Therefore, KIOTI allows -1 ~ 7% of the relative speed ratio for front wheels.

REAR BRAKE AXLE

0.033872 = 1.478 0.02291 Rolling circumference of front wheels x rotating = ratio Rolling circumference of rear wheels

Therefore, the relative speed ratio for front wheel = (speed of front wheels ÷ speed of rear wheels) Example) What is the relative speed ratio of the front wheels for RX6010C(PC)/USA model tires based on the above formula? Front/rear wheel rotating ratio = 1.478 Circumference of front wheel = 2.870

REAR HST AXLE

Since Front Front axle wheel rospeed retating ratio duction ratio = , so Rear Rear axle wheel rospeed retating ratio duction ratio

Circumference of rear wheel = 4.140

2.870 x 1.478 4.140

1.025 → The front wheels = rotate 2.5% faster than the rear wheels.

Example) What is the relative speed ratio of the front wheels for RX6010C(PC)/AU,EU model tires based on the above formula? Front/rear wheel rotating ratio = 1.478 Circumference of front wheel = 2.985 Circumference of rear wheel = 4.178

2.985 x 1.478 4.178

1.056 → The front wheels = rotate 5.6% faster than the rear wheels.

The tire rolling circumference in the tire catalogue supplied by the manufacturer may differ from the actual rolling circumference. Therefore, follow below procedures to measure the actual rolling circumference.

3. Disengage the front wheel drive.

▶ Calculate the gear reduction ratio of the rear axle referring to the arrangement table of the main gear shift and rear axle gears in 6.1.1.

GENERAL GENERAL

SAFETY SAFETY FIRST FIRST

GENERAL - RELATIVE SPEED RATIO OF FRONT WHEELS

1. Adjust the inflation pressure of the front and rear tires to the specified pressure. 2. Park the tractor on a firm and level ground. 4. Mark on the rear tire and the ground where they meet. 5. Move the tractor until the marks on the tires meet the ground again. Be sure to move the tractor straight. 6. Make a second mark on the ground where the mark of tire meets. 7. Measure the distance between two marks on the ground. 8. The rolling circumference for the front tires can be measured with the same method. However, the front wheel drive function should be disengaged. 9. Calculate the relative speed ratio of the front wheels based on the measured rolling circumference value as follows: Front wheel rolling circ. x speed ratio x 100% Rear wheel rolling circ. 10. If necessary, install the most frequently used implement or a weight and repeat the same test. 11. If the relative speed ratio of the front wheels is over the specified value, check the tires for inflation pressure, deformation and specifications. • Specified relative speed ratio for front wheels: 1 ~ 5% • Allowable relative speed ratio for front wheels: -1 ~ 7%
