PROLOGUE
Our bodies and minds are in constant interaction with all different types of environment and space. They don't explicitly speak to you, but it is palpable that you're having a wordless conversation. Numerous studies show evidence of the body's ability to self-heal" when put into positive healing environments. This healing is enabled by the ability of the body to 'tap into our internal pharmacies' by activating the body's powerful neurchemicals. Aged-related diseases and disabilities are on the rise across the world. Most of us are aware of the many debilitating physical effects of ageing, but often we may not realise the risks to mental health and wellbeing in old age. Meanwhile, Loneliness and depression has become a big issue in the China for the old and young generation respectively. I wanted to explore whether there was a way that architecture could improve such issues. The whole process of my architectural exploration on the term 'healing' features humanism. As I have come to realization that the respect of life and humanity is what an architectural design is all about.I focus on the modification and the regeneration of urban fabric, as well as of fragile territories, on interventions of building extensions and transformation, restoration and enhancement.

With the development of economy, monofunctional areas and buildings produced by previous urban planning are becoming more and more difficult to meet constantly evolving needs of citizens, resulting in a large number of underutilized urban spaces and social problem. In the meanwhile, along with the process of rapid urbanization, incoming population is constantly growing. With these inflows of young people, existing spaces are no longer enough to accommodate their needs. Based on above reasons, this three design focuses on the modification and the regeneration of urban fabric, as well as of fragile territories, on interventions of building extensions and transformation, restoration and enhancement.

Many of the urban problems we face today come from "blank space" in the process of urbanization. They are urban fragile territories. The unprecedented high-speed and largescale urbanization process inevitably leaves a lot of "blanks" between the industrial and residential areas. The "blanks" are fragmented public spaces that lacks vitality. The project focus on the retrofitting these underutilized spaces into multifunctional devices for as a more sustainable development scheme to revitalize the community.

The mega river ecosystem of the Yangtze River was once home to diverse aquatic megafauna but is increasingly affected by various anthropogenic stressors that have resulted in continuous loss of biodiversity. We should take some measures to protect the river, the first measure is to let more people realize the importance of protecting river which the the habitat of diverse aquatic megafauna. The Chinese Paddlefish, a 2019 paper from the Yangtze River Fisheries Research Institute reported their extinction, suggesting that they had gone extinct sometime between 2005 and 2010. The project is a exhibition and memorial space for Chinese Paddlefish aim to let more people realize the importance of protecting the habitat of diverse aquatic megafauna and commemorating the extinction of diverse aquatic megafauna. It is our hope that the project can be a demonstration of human stewardship of the environment, so we can continue to live on a sustainable planet, and take an important step to redirecting toward a positive future for the Yangtze River Delta's destiny. The design of the building is inspired by the ecology of the Yangtze River and the symbiotic relationship between the aquatic life and its surrounding context.
The Chinese Paddlefish declared extinct
Public discussion of the extinction Prof. Qiwei Wei
Key Laboratory of Freshwater Biodiversity Conservation, Mnistry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of P. R. China
The mega river ecosystem of the Yangtze River was once home to diverse aquatic megafauna but is increasingly affected by various anthropogenic stressors that have resulted in continuous loss of biodiversity, such as the probable extinction of Yangtze River Dolphin. The Chinese paddlefish, Psephurus gladius, was one of only two extant members of a relict lineage that was most diverse and widespread 34-75 million years ago. The Chinese Paddlefish was once common in the Yangtze River , with c.25 tonnes being harvested per annum during the 1970s. Populations have , however, declined drastically since the late 1970s as a result of overfishing and habitat fragmentation. Based on 210 sightings of Chinese paddlefish during the period 1981-2003, we estimated the timing of extinction to be by 2005, and no later than by 2010. The Yangtze River is currently the busiest river globally in terms of inland navigation. I f n o e f fe c t ive p ro te c t i o n m e a s u re s are taken, the Yangtze River aquatic ecosystems will be in danger of collapse.
Wenxuan Cao
Famous ichthyologist , academician, Institution of Hydrobiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Suggestion:Change the currrent stage of fishing closure to a full ten-year fishing closure, "rescue protection" of China's largest aquatic biological resource bank, and restore the Yangtze River ecology. We need a pavilion to let more people understand the plight of fish in the Yangtze River, to involve more people in protecting the environment, and to support the tenyear fishing ban.
Fishing of the Chinese paddlefish(Psephurus gladius) goes back centuries, with annual harvest reaching 25 tons by the 1970s. Since the 1990s, the Chinese paddlefish has been officially listed with the International Union for Conservation of Nature(IUCN) as critically endangered, and has not been seen alive since 2003. A 2019 paper from the Yangtze River Fisheries Research Institute reported their extinction, suggesting that they had gone extinct sometime between 2005 and 2010, but had been functionally extinct since 1993. The official IUCN Red List status will not be updated until June 2020.
Causes of the Chinese Paddlefish Extinction
People use the household net, and the big fish and the small fish are wiped out. Small fishes and shrimps cannot escape in front of it. The nets of these fishing nets are as small as 3 or 4 mm.
Uncontrolled fishing
T h e d e v e l o p m e n t o f Uncontrolled sand mining the fishing industry has caused large fish and small fish to be wiped out, which may directly lead to the death of the Yangtze River Chinese Paddlefish, or causing less and less food for the Chinese Paddlefish.
Gezhouba Dam
The Chinese paddlefish generally lay their eggs in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and they feed and fatten in the middle and lower reaches. However, the construction of Gezhouba Dam cut off their migratory passages. Go back to spawning upstream.
Invasive species
Shipping
Discharge sewage and litter
People discharged sewage into the Yangtze River and littered. According to reports, 40 billion tons of sewage are discharged into the Yangtze River each year. In dirty, toxic environment, fish reproduction rates have severely decreased.
A large number of invasive species entered the Yangtze River, so that nourishment and fish eggs were completely eaten. Fish survival has declined significantly.

When the world undergoes major changes(be it social, economic, technological, or political), the world of architectural needs to adapt alongside. In 2015, 8.5% of the population of the world was aged 65 or over (617 million people). This is predicted to grow to 12% of the population by 2030, and to a staggering 16.7% of the population by 2050. Age-related diseases and disabilities are on the rise across the world. Most of us are aware of the many debilitating physical effects of ageing, but often we may not realise the risks to mental health and wellbeing in old age. In many old residential area of China, many aged people living alone. Loneliness has become a big issue in the China for the old age. Where the subject of 'ageing' is still much of a taboo in society, I wanted to explore whether there was a way that architecture could improve such issues.

Depression is a serious and important issue on college capuses across the country. College students are susceptible to depression due to potential factors such as stress with school, work, or finances, or possibly feeling isolated after moving away from friends and family. However, many college lack infrastructure to improve students' mental and physical health. The project focuses on the modification and the regeneration of urban fabric, as well as of fragile territories to provide a place for students to heal them. Every kind of psychotherapy process is a communication in which to establish an unbreakable relationship between psychologist's knowledge and patient's emotional confusion and experiencs. Our bodies and minds are in constant interaction with all different types of environment and space. They don't explicitly speak to you, but it is palpable that you're having a wordless conversation.
The common ground of the wordless conversation is shared between architecture and other fields of psychology. This architectural project based on The Enneagram theory. I was able to translate the psychology language to 3d architectural language, which in turn provided people similar healing effect via totally different psychotherapy forms.

With the high stress levels from overlapping exams, term papers, part-time jobs, and the need to socialize, college life can be a very rapid and extreme transition for many coming out of high school, or even a community college. It's no easy task to juggle all of the tasks that students have to do, and as a result, many struggle with some form of mental health illness in college.

A healthy one stands for perfection and idealism and their integrity and frustration drives them. Their journey is to reclaim a sense of serenity. Even flaws may have a purpose. Recognize that true perfection and growth will come when one's realize that all things are inherently perfect just as they are.
A healthy two stands for altruism and service and their pride drives them. Their journey is about reclaiming their sense of humility. The pride they feel in giving to others may keep them from learning how to receive or from realizing that they may be giving to get. Giving with expectation is a veiled from of taking. True altruism is selfless. Growth with come when they can acknowledge their own needs and learn to give freely without expecting anything in return.
A healthy three stands for hope and radiance and their image drives them. Their journey is to reclaim their sense o honesty and restore their hope. Remember that everyone loves a performer- while they are performing- but this is not the kind of love that lasts. Spiritual growth will come when they learn to be authentic and be true to the moment.

A healthy four stands for authenticity and expression and their practice of comparison drives them. Their journey is to connect to original source and create true meaning. Growth will come when they are able to balance their emotional nature with temperance and equanimity. Once they keep their powerful emotions in check, they can create the kinds of liffe they want.
A healthy five stands for omniscience, inner wisdom and clarity and their holding out tendencies drive them. The path is to reclaim a sense of non-attachment and experience true omniscience, which entails true knowing from a higher source. Growth will come when they offer freely of themselves to others without fear of incurring obligation and realize that mere information can never be a substitute for true direct knowing.

A healthy seven stands for joy and constancy and stimulation drives them. Their journey is to search for right work and focused concentration. Growth will come when they approach life with disciplined sobriety, instead of getting high on new ideas, options and plans. Like a stone skipping acrosss a lake that sinks deeply when it comes to rest, they will do well to slow down, experience their inner depths, and focus on completion.
A health eight stands for truth and magnanimity and their intensity drives them. The journey is to reclaim a sense of innocence. Growth will come when they can acknowledge a higher truth and a higher power. As the king or queen of the jungle, they can either take advantage of others with their powerful and commanding presence or make the jungle a safe place for everyone.
Healthy nines stands for unconditional love of self and others and accommodation drives them. Their journey is to reclaim a sense of right action and awaken from the coma of self-forgetting. Growth will come as they reclaim, define and assert their sense of self in the world.
