New York, NY (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2010 SCENEPR has announced the films that will be screened at their third annual Love Actually: Short Films about Love, Sex & Romance, on Valentines Day from 710pm at the historic Millennium Film Workshop in New York City, NY. Join us for this noncompetitive film event featuring 11 short films from 12 brilliant independent filmmakers. The evening will begin with a premixer with wine & cheese and end with a Q&A with some of the people involved in making the films being showcased, including former Oscar Nominee, Animator John Dilworth. Here are thumbnail descriptions of each film How I Met Your Father (Alex Montoya) Every couple has a story, some more romantic than others. Lost Paradise (Mihal Brezis & Oded Binnun) A man and a woman are tenderly making love in a one star hotel room. A moment later when they are both dressed up, the idyll that seamed authentic is now gone. A present day Adam and Eve story. Lucha (Maria Breaux) Set in 1982 against the backdrop of the insurgency in El Salvador, Lucha traces the plight of two women in love whose only respite from the battles raging against their oppressive government is the solace found in each other's arms. Backwards (Aaron Hughes) A love story so backwards, it has to be told in reverse. Rinky Dink (John Dilworth) A postmodern interpretation of the 'Prince Charming' myth Coming Soon (Jeffery Engleson) A romantic comedy about premature ejaculation. Dating Rubik's Cube (Saya Hillman) Twelve people, from age 24 to 41, from teachers to investment bankers to musicians, from the single to the married to the divorced, from a variety of Chicago neighborhoods, get personal on all things relationships 60 minutes of fastpaced dating vignettes. Blind Date (Chris Ramos) A lovedamaged actress, who won't admit she still yearns for the real thing, must eliminate the opposition to make love work on her terms. Metamorphasis (Debra Zarne) A man and a woman, encountering relationship problems, each go through a metamorphosis and take a chance on the other. Thorndike (Chris Teague) Todd, a quiet teenager, upsets his girlfriend on the last day they are to spend together before she moves away. Unable to accept her sunny disposition on what is, to him, a sad day, he rejects her, and instantly regrets it. To make it up to her he enlists his two best friends to help him execute a prank he's sure she'll appreciate. The prank does not go off as planned, but it is the struggle that allows him to understand what he really needs to say to his girlfriend before she leaves.
