BUILDING 2
KEY PLAN
Building 2 encompasses the time period of the Islamic era in India. It begins with the ruthless Ghori’s who invaded India, rampaging the country and became the first to establish both Islam and the Delhi Sultanate in this nation. This time period ends with the last of the Mughal dynasty who were overthrown by the Britishers. Thus this building shows the time lapse of early islamic period followed by the fusion of hindu and islamic styles giving birth to Indo-islamic art and architecture. Use of levels had been a defining feature of this structure to break the monotony and give visitors a much more interactive experience.
