Rings Mechanical art & Interactive installation | Individual project | 2021 Although the IUDs policy(1980~2013) has stopped in today's China, it still occurs frequently in some underdeveloped areas, and the vast majority of middle-aged and elderly women in China still wear this evil ring in their bodies. The project shows the harm caused to women's physical and mental health by the act of administrative violation of citizens' reproductive organs. The cold mechanical movement of the vaginal speculums reflects the process of placing IUDs is so ruthless, and the twist of the central sponges reflects the bleeding caused by friction and rotation of the ring in the uterus is so bloody. Working principle When an embryo wants to be implanted in the uterus, the continuous action (friction and rotation) of the intra-uterine device scrapes the uterine wall, causing aseptic inflammation of the uterus, so that the embryo can not be implanted normally in the uterus to conceive, resulting in abortion, in order to achieve the purpose of contraception.

1 The birth control ring will "rub" with the endometrium, causing lumbar and abdomina even gynecological inflammation, accompanied by persistent bleeding. 2 In serious cases, it can cause cervical injury, endometrial edema and even ulcera bleeding. 3 The most serious is that due to the atrophy of the uterus and cervix after menopaus aging of the IUD, the IUD is likely to grow into the flesh and even cause uterine perforati

A woman can be hit by a stone

The Rite of Spring (1975) Story The Rite of Spring is a classic by Russian musician Stravinsky, which shows the sacrifice of the original Russian tribes celebrating spring, choosing a victim from a group of young girls who will dance until she dies. The Rite of Spring, performed by Pinabausch in 1975, influenced me the most, and its unfettered body language conveyed a silent, exhausting and ineffective resistance. The works show that the men of the upper class in the primitive society hold the power, and the women of the lower class are materials that they can use freely, and they can enjoy the women according to their own preferences.

Reflection This is a kind of primitive national class oppression, which reminds me of class oppression in history and begins to think: "What have the oppressors done? What is the position and attitude of bystanders? How do the rebels resist oppression? What is the result of resistance? "

low-up & Cold & Twisted & Repetitive

The indifferent eye is high above, monitoring everything, symbolizing the oppression, controls and ruthlessness of the ruling class to the lower (ruled) class. The parallel line symbolizes the strong status and emotional apathy of the ruling class, which is difficult to shake and will not cause mood swings as a result of the actions of the rebels. The wavy line and the puppets symbolize the numb bystanders of the ruled class, who fluctuate under the influence of the rebels, but still do not wake up (be tied up). The broken line symbolizes the "abnormal" and "revolutionary" rebels in the ruled class, with the fiercest fluctuations.

The round cage/net symbolizes the uterus and peace, with a sense of fatalism.

The cage/net that changes in size with people's movements symbolizes tight and constant constraints, it is difficult to break free.

Red cross + bright rope: on the surface, the cross represents redemption, but it is actually a kind of control by means of faith. It means that the binding and bondage are very strong, but the controlled person does not know it, because the red rope is tied to the back of the person's body.

The human blood marks symbolizes the harm caused by the retaliation of the rebels, and it is also a condemnation of irrational antisocial behavior.

1 User interview G e t th e f o ll ow in g key co nve r s ati o ns by inter viewing many long-term users of Arduino.

Q1 What difficulties will you encounter when using Arduino to create works?

Studing for Arduino

During my more than a year of contact with Arduino, I have tried to use many sensors and hardware modules to implement my work. In the process, I have encountered many challenges, one of which is...... I find that there is no matching hardware module when I need to achieve translation!!!

The function is very difficult to achieve. I wonder: "Do people encounter similar problems when their works with Arduino? Can this problem be solved? How do people hope to better solve this problem? "

It is difficult to achieve translation and additional structural design is needed, but the cost of time, energy and financial resources is relatively high. I hope someone can design a module that can be directly controlled by program, just like a steering gear.

Q2 How do you want this pain point to be resolved? Q3 If such a product will be designed, what are your requirements for it?

Cheap, not too big or too heavy, i can use simple code to control the distance of traslation, if there are several similar products to choose from, even better.

Skin Interactive installation | Individual project | 2021 Skin is the most intuitive appearance, the f irst impression at the beginning of communication bet ween people. This project focuses on skin diseases through temperature sensing installation and space environment feedback, so that seemingly problematic skin can show a warm feeling in a cool color space.

2 Film

Inspiration

The Skin I live In This is a story about the transgender plastic surgery. Surgeons combine human skin with pig skin through genetic recombination to transform all the external features of the man into a "woman". But the hero never forgot who he was, and at the end of the film he fled and resolutely went to find himself as a "man". If the skin determines who you look like, does the cosmetic technology of the Creator's hand control your life? Who do you look like? Who in the world are you? What is the skin? What does it determine?

PIELES On the surface, the film is heavy-tasting, but in practice, it can heal the hearts of the people. Those deformed, twisted, anxious and restless hearts, just like the strange protagonists in the movie, have experienced ups and downs and are finally cured. It also makes us more tolerant and understanding of the "weirdo". After all, everyone has something strange, but some people appear on the outside, some people hide in the heart.

1 Personal experience

I am allergic, so I have been plagued by eczema and neurodermatitis since I was a child. When I was in primary school, I had a large area of eczema and needed to avoid exposure to the summer sun, so I was often rejected and misunderstood by my classmates. Some of them called me "Dark Princess", and some of them did not want to play with me and even less to get in touch with me, such as shaking hands, hugging and so on. They think eczema is disgusting and ugly, they are worried about being infected by me, and even think that I have eczema because of poor hygiene and bad conduct. Other people's lack of understanding and rejection of non-communicable skin diseases made me feel inferior and lonely for a long time. When I grew up, I realized that dermatosis patients are still discriminated against and hated widely. I think they deserve to be loved, understood and tolerated, and they need more care.

Reflection The core idea of the two films is: "pursue and adhere to the inner self, as well as equal and inclusive love and understanding of the weirdo." By paying attention to my skin and these two films, I began to think about the embodiment and relationship between people's inner and external appearance. I think the skin is a person's appearance, but it is not the appearance but the person's inside that determines who I am. It is the inner "me" under the skin. For a long time, many people only pay attention to appearance and have prejudice and aversion to this person because of the incomplete and morbid skin of other people. they forget that there is still warm blood and a beautiful heart under the skin.

facing patients with skin diseases, many people are very concerned whether their skin diseases are contagious or not. In fact, infectious seases account for only a small part of skin diseases.

The transmission of skin diseases can be divided into t wo ways: direct contact infection and indirect contact transmission, direct contact infection is transmitted through direct contact with the patient's skin, blood, body fluids and secretions, indirect contact infection is transmitted through contaminated appliances. But not af ter contac t will be infec ted , this is because the human body has a certain immunity, only when the immunity decreases, the chance of infection will be increased.

Cloth imitates the bloody human skin that is about to form a scab after festering and bleeding, and making a texture on it does not produce dandruff and cracks because it still has a little softness and vitality. it shows the phenomenon of permeation and halo of blood staining. It imitates a semisolidified state between death and life. Cattle leather imitates the withered and devitalized human skin after desquamation, and making a texture on it is easy to produce scurf and cracks, just like the scurf produced during the peeling of most skin diseases. It imitates a dead, cracked, body fluid condensation state.

It shows the phenomenon of blood flowing out of ulceration, and it also shows the early state in which dif ferent shapes of textures grow out of the skin af ter scratch. It imitates a vibrant, bloodflowing, momentary state.

The green of the magnetic slime represents life attracted by the magnet and bulge will be gen will slowly become "antennae" to follow the m exaggerated and rapid growth process, the mov of "scratching", and the protruding and moving of the growth of skin disease texture from a mic

Manufacture procedure 1 Material preparation The texture of moss is similar to that of some skin diseases. It is dense, uneven and punctate. It symbolizes the growing, vital state, and it differs from leather, cloth and clay in that it is truly alive and growing. It imitates a p roce s s of g row th i n c ha nge , emphasizing growth, vitality and the health and beauty of the soul.

e and growth. The magnetic slime will be erated on its surface, and then the bulge movement of the magnet. It imitates the vement of magnets symbolizes the action g magnetic slime symbolizes the dynamics croscopic point of view.

Super Mechanical Pixel Display Interactive installation | Group project | 2020 This is a super large-scale dynamic installation with 4608 power sources that BURNLAB, professional partners and non-professional audiences made together, a length of about 7 meters and a height of about 3 meters. It uses the stepper motor after each pixel to change the angle according to the preset program (Arduino programming) to form various patterns and short films. My mission 1 Operated the early propaganda, including video recording, planning Wechat version of “open create” and invitation web 2 Completed the installation of Arduino boards, electronic components, circuits and the construction of the installation 3 Introduced the principle of the installation to the audience and invited them to participate in the installation interaction Video Link: https://vimeo.com/634418159

Rotating Pixel Wall Interactive installation | Group project | 2021 This is a large dynamic display wall created by BURNLAB. Through PWM drive integrated two-phase 42-step closed-loop motor driver module to control the rotation speed and angle of each pixel module(each pixel has two sides-the mirror side and the black side), so as to form a dynamic image. My mission 1 Participated in the assembly of more than 60,000 component modules and completed the preliminary establishment of the installation 2 Do the waterproof treatment for the internal electronic components and structure of this outdoor installation 3 Participated in the debugging of the hardware structure and completed the final outdoor construction Video Link: https://vimeo.com/634434975 Video Link: https://vimeo.com/634445873(some of the process)
