1.1 L’HOTEL ED I SUOI SERVIZI
AL SERVIZIO DELLE “TUE” EMOZIONI «Io sono un venditore di Emozioni…» così è solito presentarsi Alessandro Augier, General Manager del Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte di Viareggio. «Il piacere di riscoprire il tempo e tutti i suoi dettagli in una struttura totalmente all’avanguardia in fatto di comfort e servizi è da sempre la nostra filosofia aziendale, mirata a esaltare nell’eccellenza gli istinti emozionali dei nostri clienti e ad anticiparne i bisogni» Sorto nei primissimi anni Venti con il nome di Select Palace Hotel, nel 1925 l’edificio si innalza di due piani impreziositi dal magnifico frontone che armonizza la parte centrale. Il tempo lo trasforma in un Hotel di respiro internazionale e nella dimora preferita di aristocratici, intellettuali e artisti. Ribattezzato con il nome di Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte nel 1938, il suo fascino seduce negli anni la fantasia di numerosi registi divenendo teatro di molte produzioni cinematografiche come “Frenesia dell’estate”, diretto nel 1964 da Luigi Zampa e interpretato da Vittorio Gassman, Sandra Milo, Michèle Mercier e Philippe Leroy, fino al recentissimo “Sweet Sweet Marja”, diretto da Angelo Frezza e interpretato da Maria Grazia Cucinotta. Il magnifico palazzo liberty, che vanta oggi 106 camere di cui 87 classic e 19 suite, si sviluppa su cinque piani arredati in stili differenti che compiono un percorso ideale attraverso l’ospitalità di ogni epoca. Il primo piano, in stile Internazionale, richiama la moda del Settecento francese in voga presso tutti gli hotel di lusso del tempo. Il secondo piano, in stile Decò, racconta l’essenza della Bell’Epoque d’inizio Novecento: pergamena, legni scuri, tessuti setificati e specchi decorati. Il terzo piano, in stile Coloniale, rappresenta l’esotico che diventa arredo. L’India e l’Oriente sono rievocati dalle decorazioni in bambù e dai tessuti stampati. Il quarto piano, in stile Impero, celebra il sogno di grandezza di Napoleone con le sue eleganti laccature chiare illuminate dai tessuti rigati in beige e blu pavone. Ed infine il quinto piano, in stile Moderno, costituito da sole otto camere ricavate da sottotetti e soffitte, di cui quattro con meravigliosa terrazza affacciata sul mare. L’arredo, i materiali, le forme e i complementi sono quelli attuali. I meravigliosi saloni delle feste di un tempo, immutati nel loro splendore, si trasformano oggi in sale funzionali, attrezzate per eventi prestigiosi. È in onore di Giacomo Puccini che la sala principale, con una capienza di 160 persone, è stata chiamata “Butterfly”. Gli ampi spazi comuni, arredati con mobili e tessuti disegnati in esclusiva per il Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, sono concepiti come un grande salotto dove è possibile però trovare angoli riservati per concludere trattative di lavoro o parlare bevendo un drink. Il ristorante gourmet “Il Piccolo Principe”, Stella Michelin e citato dalle più importanti guide eno-‐gastronomiche, offre una cucina squisitamente ricercata da gustare nell’elegante nuova location al quinto piano dove è possibile avere un tavolo nella elegante ed esclusiva e rinnovata sala panoramica o nella splendida terrazza a bordo piscina sul roof garden, ma comunque sempre con la vista mozzafiato che spazia dal mare alle colline di sfondo. I piatti sono valorizzati dalle oltre 850 etichette di vini presenti nella selezionata Cantina, dove è possibile organizzare cene private e degustazioni guidate dal nostro sommelier. “Il Piccolo Principe” è aperto tutto l’anno anche ai non residenti in hotel. Al piano terra è invece aperto il ristorante Toscano “Regina” dove è possibile gustare una cucina più tradizionale nell’ampia sala centrale o nella veranda che si affaccia sul mare. Al quinto piano, la favolosa piscina panoramica, con spettacolare vista sulla costa e sulle Alpi Apuane, è dotata di cascate a lame d’acqua e idromassaggio. Riscaldata nei mesi invernali a 35°C e arricchita con ozono, è nata per regalare piacevoli momenti di relax durante tutto l’anno. A bordo piscina è possibile altresì gustare, nei mesi estivi, deliziosi snack o sorseggiare aperitivi. La meravigliosa SPA, con una superficie di oltre 350 m2, mette a disposizione degli ospiti una vastissima serie di trattamenti viso e corpo oltre a sauna, bagno turco, percorso Kneipp, docce aromatiche, area relax ed estetica di servizio. Un’esperienza polisensoriale di profumi, colori e musiche per rigenerare i sensi e distendere la mente. Tra i nostri trattamenti più esclusivi: massaggi al miele, al cioccolato e con pietre calde, ayurveda, shiatsu e riflessologia plantare. SERVING YOUR EMOTIONS «I sell emotions…» this is how Alessandro Augier, General Manager of Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte in Viareggio, introduces himself. «Our philosophy is to give our guests the pleasure to rediscover the old time beauty with all its details in a totally up to date facility. Our goal is to anticipate our clients’ needs and to exalt with excellence their emotional instincts» Born in the early twenties as Select Palace Hotel, in 1925 the building has raised of two storeys, embellished by the magnificent pediment that harmonizes all the central part. In the years it becomes a famous international hotel and the favourite residence for many aristocrats, intellectuals and artists. In 1938 has been renamed Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte and its charm have seduced several directors, becoming the scenario of many movie productions. The liberty building that faces the sea of Viareggio, has today 106 rooms, 87 double and 19 suites, divided in five floors, each one of these decorated in a different style, to make an ideal journey through hospitality of every epoch. The first floor, in International style, reminds the french fashion of 18th century, very popular in most of the luxury hotels of that time. The second floor, in Decò style, is inspired by the early 20th essence of Belle Epoque with dark wood, parchments, silk woven and decorated mirrors. The third floor, in Colonial style, represents the exotic that becomes furnishing. India and the East are recalled by the bamboo decorations and the printed woven. The fourth floor, in Empire style, celebrates Napoleon’s dream of greatness with the elegant light varnishing enlightened by the beige and blue striped woven. And at the end, the fifth floor in Modern style where in the eight rooms, four of which have a marvellous terrace facing the sea, are decorated with materials, shapes and complements of these days. The beautiful ballrooms of the old days, unaltered in their splendour, are transformed today into multi-‐functional rooms equipped for prestigious events. It is in honour of Giacomo Puccini and its Operas that the main hall, with a capacity of 160 people, was called "Butterfly”. The spacious common areas, decorated with furnishings and fabrics designed exclusively for the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte, are understood as a large lounge where to find quiet corners for concluding business negotiations or just having a chat in front of a drink. At the ground floor is open the Tuscan Restaurant “Regina” where you can enjoy a more traditional cuisine, full of the tastes and flavours of our region, in the wide dining room or in the veranda that faces the sea. On the fifth floor, the amazing rooftop pool with spectacular views over the coast and the Apuane Alps, has waterfalls Jacuzzi areas. Heated in winter at 35 °C and enriched with ozone, is created to give relaxing moments throughout the year. At the pool during the summer you can also enjoy delicious snacks or aperitifs.
