Fifth Third Field Ground Rules 1. Home Runs a. Home runs must go over the yellow line on the railing that is located at the top of the entire outfield wall. If a ball hits the yellow line or the railing and bounces back onto the field, the ball is in play. b. Balls hit over the yellow line including the fair pole are considered home runs. 2. Dugout a.There are two sets of stairs that lead from the dugout to the playing field. A player can step on the top step of the stairs to make a play, but cannot go any further into the dugout to make a play. The portions of the handrails that are on the top step are in play. b.The facing of the dugout roof is dead. c.The thicker padded dugout railing in line with the top step of the dugout is in play. d.All dugout rails inside (or below) the top step are out of play. e.Any ball that goes into the dugout, inside or below the top step, is considered out of play. 3.Tarp a. Player may lean on tarp, but cannot step, climb or jump on the tarp to catch a ball. b.A ball hit fair that becomes trapped under the tarp is considered dead and is a ground rule double. 4. Fair Territory a. Balls bouncing in fair territory and hitting the railings going up the wall in Sections 101 & 119 and back onto the field are in play. b. Catchers and pitchers in the bullpens are considered to be in play. c. Fair balls batted into the bullpens and landing in the stands are considered ground rule doubles.

Media Information Our goal is to provide the best working conditions possible for accredited members of the media. SEASON CREDENTIALS Season credentials are available to representatives that cover the club on a daily basis ONLY. Season credentials for home games may be obtained by calling the Mud Hens Public Relations Department at (419) 725-HENS. These passes are not intended for use as season tickets. The credentials are not transferable; no additional people will be admitted. SINGLE GAME CREDENTIALS Credentials for an individual regular season home game may only be obtained by calling the Mud Hens Public Relations Department at (419) 725-HENS, 24 hours in advance of your requested game to assure compliance. Credentials are not transferable; no additional people will be admitted. PRESS BOX The press box is located behind home plate on the Club Level. Each writer’s location is equipped with an electrical outlet and internet access. Phone/fax service is also available. FIELD ACCESS Media representatives with proper credentials are admitted on the field for pre-game interviews until 30 minutes prior to game time. CLUBHOUSE ACCESS Media representatives may enter the clubhouse until 30 minutes prior to game time. Clubhouse may be entered again 10 minutes after the end of the game. There will be no access to the clubhouse between games of a doubleheader. INTERVIEWS Requests for interviews should be made through the Mud Hens Public Relations Department at (419) 725-HENS. Requests will be filled on a first call basis subject to availability and team workout schedule.
