PHASE 1

PHASE 2

PHASE 3

PHASE 4

The first phase revolves around introducing furniture scale interventions to the existing High Street that have duality in use that empower both Korean and the wider British Public. The furniture scale interventions are mobile in most cases so can be removed if not well received by the public at large.

The second phase uses the Back of House area of the High Street, asking Korean businesses to adopt the retail sectional extension ideas while asking Korean Homeowners to participate in their separate extension scheme to allow for more Korean immigrants in the area.

Phase three seeks to join all the extensions into a coherent whole, creating a new, raised High Street that expresses the Korean Culture more exuberantly. The Bride brings more plant growing areas and kitchens that will intensify the production of site specific produce such as New Malden Kimchi.

The Final phase introduces a sustained way to generate income for the Korean community in the area. A Wi Fi network will be places on the High Street alongside a drone delivery system and the towers will act as giant advertisement boards. These features take advantage of the tourism aspect of the High Street that is expected to generate following the success of the previous phases.
