is about the volume of the space, the amount of light that enters, and the scale of the structure that creates an impact on the dwellers’ experience.

Owing to my love for traveling, I have had the opportunity to adore nature’s creations and human’s adaptations to them. Exploring everything from mountains, rivers, oceans and the woods to museums, temples, churches, spectacular homes and resorts tempted me to understand the philosophies behind the spatial experience.

REDEVELOPMENT OF UDUPI BUS TERMINUS
REDEVELOPMENT OF UDUPI BUS TERMINUS Manipal School of Architecture and Planning Undergrad Thesis Nestled in the vibrant heart of a bustling locale, the bus terminus serves as a focal point that witnesses a constant influx of people, catering to a substantial daily footfall. Positioned strategically, it stands as a dynamic hub, connecting diverse streams of commuters and contributing to the lively pulse of the surrounding area. The proposed redevelopment of the Udupi Bus Terminus aims to transform the existing facility into a modern, user-friendly transportation hub that caters to the growing population and diverse needs of the users. The redesign not only focuses on creating a one stop destination that addresses the diverse needs of the users but also ensures the bus terminus is easily accessible to all, including the specially abled. The bus terminus has been redesigned with a user-centric approach, making it more than a mere transportation hub by providing spaces where people can pause and interact, fostering a vibrant and engaging environment.

VERSATILIS_FUTURE OF PUBLIC SPACES_RECREATION HUB
VERSATILIS_FUTURE OF PUBLIC SPACES RECREATION HUB
Umeå School of Architecture Semester VI (UMA-2)_Student Exchange Programme
In the past, public spaces were hubs for social interaction, but technological advancements have reduced their vibrancy. Vasaplan is one of the most dynamic places of Umeå as it is designed to be acessible to people of all age groups. Apart from this, it is also a transport hub but seen as a bus stop rather than a place for interaction. Thus, came the need to design something that makes them interact with the space and each other. The project breif was to design a public space for the year 2040 anticipating the challenges that would be faced at that time. Versatilis has been shown as having the capability of adapting to different activities as per the need of the users. Our strategies include introducing democratic pop up activity voting system and creating flexible spaces using movable floor plates that can arrange themselves into combinations of smaller or larger spaces and single or double height spaces. We do not renovate spaces, we transform them. We believe this will lead to interaction among people as well as with the designed space.
