ART CURATOR SPACE FOR JEWELRY AND SCULPTURE DESIGN
A
t Pratt Institute, different majors students use different studios, even different gradesstudents are seperated. If at Pratt, a space provides opportunity for different major student to work together. From learning and looking each other’s work, students will be inspired and creative. This will be a chance to educate innovative artists and leader of art trend in the society. This project is designed for sepecific 2 major students -- -- Sculpture and Jewelry major in Fine art department. Sculpture and Jewelry are always designed in different scale. Jewelry is considered to decorate and simulate bodies, sculpture is considered to interact with environmnt. If these two major students share their working proccess and pin up space

together and designated to create hybrid model, this would be inventive. The project is designed for installation art of Sculpture and Jewelry. These shows may be titled as robotic installation art, human installation art, or even animal installation art. Moreover, this space is designed for visitors. After students installed their projects, the working spaces become showrooms. Front entrance is designed to attract visitors passing by to come closer to see the works from different perspective. Also based on th character of the front entrance. The curved glass for the interior create a relative private space for meeting or discussion. For the exterior, it blended with the original site condition, the benches and trees.

From second floor Jewelry workshop, students have a straight view to look at the sculpture workshop and the installations arts.
Also, the view from first floor glass looking down on the sculpture workshop provide either visitors or students at Pratt a different perspective on sculptures.

The Photon

Boat House-- --An experiment of Stucture and Light
DESIGN 302 Professor: Livio Dimitriu Teammate: Long long
Pedestrian access of the Project
Boat House, the project is a touch on the combination of MEP, structure, and deisgn, to accommodate Columbia University rowing team. Reason for the name Photon is part of our design strategy, when people enter the vestibule, they can see the structure beam revealed with a reflective color that guide people to enter. The handle is specially designed for athlates to grab on since we think athlates need ergonomic feature to make their body feel comfortable and to strech their muscle.
Lobby --Stair to reception Central of the space with 25 feet light shading arc roof, both site is constructed as curtain wall system. The exposed beam structure is deliberately designed architectural moment. The hand rail is designed with ergonomic concept. The stair on the first floor is extended and elevated, when the sunlight cast on the stair, it shows the depth of the stairway.

Site Study Parking patterns To see which street is has more traffic
This Project is aimed to use the angle of the wall to control program and the psycology of people who will use it. When the wall is shifted toward people, they will feel the pressure and be more focused in the library. When the wall is at a high angle, the space will become circulation. The last circumstance is when one side wall is with low angle and the other side is at high angle. People will use the low angle side for short term reading (skimming or scanning the books, etc.), and will use one high angle side for circulation.

Internship at KPF
Sky view
Suzhou International Financial Square, is a 92-floor, 452-meter skyscraper in the Industrial Park, Suzhou, Jiangsu, located to the east of Jinji Lake. It is a multi-purpose building which includes apartments, hotels and offices. This building is 95% finished now. I was working on the additional service, refined lobby’s screen and revolvers.
Testing several times of the combination of the revolvers and cantilever or the canopy, consructing and simulating the pipes and the roof, the arhitect and client are both agree with this option: 3 wings of revolver, and 7.5m cantilever.
This screen is test with sunscreen efficiency, and people’s privacy when they entered the lobby. Also it needs to balance with the whole Building’s body line. So the screen couldn’t be too dense but also need to be moderate to make people feel privacy. Moderate means draw and render the screen types correspondingly and review the results.

Design of the screen aims to create depth in space since it is locates at the end of the hallway and people’s eyes are going to focus on this when they walk towards it. Also, this is going to make people feel relax since the hallways leads to a clubhouse which contains entertainment infrastructures. Afterall, this is also a economic effiient screen. There are four components form the combination of the screen, and fins only have 3 variations.
Sequis Center Internship at KPF
Sequis center tower is 210m tall skyscraper at South Jakarta, Indonesia. Sequis Tower’s open plaza has pedestrian access to Pacific Place, and many other attractions. My task is to design the public hallways with different materials.
Option with glass and steel structure
Option with solid wood and concrete colomns
This is the renovation project at second floor at sequis center. I’m testing with the effect of linear & point light, black & white marble, and wood in the lavatory.
Also I refined some of the awkward arrangement in the toilet, where the urinal was planned to face the entrance of male lavatory.
