:Que sueños no has cumplido, y te gustaría cumplir pronto?

Exclusive Interview “I'm loyal friend, & lover. I forgive, but don't forget
Who is Jovanny Venegas? I'm a very down to earth individual, who keeps it "real" at all times. I see it like this, you like me, "ok coo", you don't "oh well" lol. I like to joke & laugh all the time. I always see the bright side of things, and believe that things do happen for a reason. I'm a Taurus so I'm very stubborn. But I'm loyal friend, & lover. I forgive, but don't forget. I might be nice, but don't mistake my kindness for weakness. Ok so is this question about me as a person or as an artist? hmmmmm As a person I'm very family oriented. I'm an only child, but my cousin is like my sister so she's my sister. My father was in the U.S. Army so I've lived all over the place, Germany, TX, NY, CA, Louisiana, Puerto Rico ‌.. but Texas is my home. But moving was always very exciting for me. My favorite color is black & maroon. My mother used to be a dancer. And as kids she would put on "Folkloric Dance Shows" and would have us dance in them, I thought it was the most embarrassing thing as a child. I love traveling. I'm very adventurous. My friends say I'm a hopeless romantic, I just love life, except the traffic, you guys can keep that. LOL You started out very young and became a top

radio personality in Central Texas for 5 year’s in row. How did you make this happened? Yes I did, I actually started working in radio when I was 15 yrs old. I used to be a DJ, and one day I was making a mix, it had a Selena Cumbia beat, and I mixed it with some house music, reggae, and hip hop and it surprisingly it came out good. I recorded a voiceover. And I played it for my mom & her friend, the friend liked it, & to my surprise she knew a DJ from a local radio station, she made the call. I got an interview, they hired me on the spot as an intern. I would spend all of my free time at the station learning everything. Such as how to be on-air talent , producing commercials, artist contracts, radio promotion, booking artists for clubs, basically anything that I thought was interesting I learned it. I even went to the library and researched, I worked very hard to make sure that, that I learned everything. Then one day a DJ got sick and the manager asked me if I wanted to host the show. I said yes right away, knowing I that in reality I was scared, but that's what I wanted to do so I went for it. Honestly, at first I was horrible, I really did suck LMAO! The words wouldn't come out my mouth, I was stuttering. I was so embarrassed, I thought I was going to die of embarrassment. But the calls started coming in, and I got scared I thought people were going to tell me to get off the air, because I sucked. But to my surprise people were very supportive and gave me words of encouragement. o I continued, working on my skills, and eventually I found my own style and swag. And from there I had a top show for about 5 yrs. I also became the youngest mixshow DJ for "Dance Music Authority Magazine" which was like the "Rolling Stone" Or "Vibe" for Dance & Club Music. They had a total of 25 DJ's who made the Mix Show list from all over the world and I was actually one of them. I know it was shocking for me too. It was crazy because everyone on the list was from NYC, LA, Miami, Paris, London, & the top 24 major cities in the world and then you saw my name coming from Killleen, TX making the 25th. I know it's crazy, of course it wasn't that easy, I hit many, many obstacles, and at first people did not want to
take me serious because I was so young. Or they thought that they could hustle me out of money, or try and take advantage of me. I can't even count how many times that happened. But that's one thing about me is that I'm not is a quitter, and in true honesty you can't hustle a hustler. I got it from my mom, she's a fighter and taught me that hard work does pay off, just be legit about what you do. She also became my manager and started representing me, selling commercials for me, and she meant business. I'm very family oriented and I brought them all
in, in one way or another, I could tell you some stories, my aunt was the psychic on my show, my sister & friends recorded commercials for me. Sharing is caring and who ever had my back, I always had theirs It was great times, that I'll never forget. And this is where it all started for me. A radio station in Killeen, Texas.
OTM|MAGAZINE
At, first when you first started in radio, did you think you would have so much success? I honestly did not know what to expect. I was happy that I was given the opportunity to do something that I loved which is music. And music plays a big role in my life, I was always making some kind of mix, rapping, dancing or something. And I was just happy with that. I wasn't really expecting anything else. I was a kid, who was given an opportunity and I was very grateful for that. And with the success, I guess I really never saw it, until people started treating me different. For example when the station made appearances, girls wanted to take pictures with me, they'd get all excited. They would show up to the station when I was on-air and take me gifts, food or what ever. They would even drive by my house, just to see if they saw me outside or who knows what. And I would get all kinds of letters (and I still have them) from people, and even from Prison, the women prisoners would confess their love for me. And the male prisoners would send me drawings and handkerchie fs. I would send them shout outs and play their requests. I'd even write them back, and say thank you. But one incident that sticks out in my head. I was at a club with my family and friends, and some guy got loud with me, because I sat at his table. I ignored it, then a few seconds later the DJ says gave me a shout out for being at the club. I was actually embarrassed, cause in reality i'm very low-key with my personal life, or I was, who knows. Artistically it's different, but then the guy comes back and says "Speedy (that was my radio name Speedy G. remember I started at 15) I didn't know that was you, Man, I'm so sorry! I always hear your show! I even call in and request songs, I always listening and calling in." He kept on apologizing and then bought us all drinks, which I couldn't even drink because I was about 18 or so. But like I said I was grateful for the opportunity and I tried to give back to the community who supported me by talking about important issues deali ng, such as drugs, gangs and so on.
in Miami. After that I went to New York, and for some reason , it never worked out. So I tried California and everything worked out perfectly. But it wasn't easy, I had a very good life in Texas, all my family, so many good friends, a good job, I was in a relationship. I was very happy. No one wanted me to leave, and I'm serious NO ONE. They would try and scare me with "California is going to fall into the Ocean." But I'm stubborn, so I went for it. And I've been here ever since. It was hard at first, I didn't know anyone, & being so family oriented it was hard, because all family is in Texas. It was new territory and I had to start all over again. And now, my hard work is finally starting to pay off. But I do love California, and am very glad that I did move here. I've met some great people and have had many
:What has been your biggest obstacle, you had to over come? At the radio, I guess I already mentioned it, but it was my age. And being taken advantage of for being so young. People wanted to rip me off, out of so many deals, and it was extremely frustrating and disappointing. I had to prove myself, and work extra, extra hard just to show that I wasn't just some dumb kid that they could take advantage of. There was also a lot of drugs, (which was never my thing, and still isn't) I can't even count, how much I had been exposed to at such a young age, the owner was even stabbed one time, after I left my shift. Crazy I know, just like those you see on TV. Other than that was leaving the station I was there for 5 years. I started to young, and but I knew I had to move on. So I moved and worked a bit for Telemundo/NBC in San Antonio and that's where TV came in, I had a job lined up in Miami, but my managers husband passed away and she quit, so they gave the job to someone local

Your biggest accomplishment so far? Graduating from California State University, Los Angeles. Let me tell you why, staying still, is a challenge for me, I'm very hyper. Let me see I also think traveling to the Cannes International Film Festival and screening my first documentary titled "My Life on Meth" was a big accomplishment. It was the first film that I produced and the first film festival that I had ever been to, just imagine the first being in Cannes, France. The short version is available online and I can't even tell you how many messages I have received from people telling me how the film has impacted them in a positive way. It's pretty amazing, when people tell you that you have made positive influence in their life. And of course the new films I am acting in. :How would you describe yourself in one word? Groovy What’s you favorite type of music? Honestly I love all kinds of music. It depends on my mood, but I like it all. House, Dance, Freestyle, Hip Hop, Rap, Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Tejano, Reggeaton, Bachata, Alternative. And every now and then I like a lil country. So almost all genres, even classical ballads on Sundays, just kidding. Basically what ever has a good beat and that I can dance to. With who do you see you’re self-working in the future? With who, or with who do I want to? I really want to work with Sean John "Diddy" Combs. He started at a very young age and he's a built a huge empire and I
think that's very respectable, people can say what ever they want about him, but in reality he has a huge enterprise to his name. I would also like to work with A.B. Quintanilla. I would also like to be in one of "Saturday Night Live's" skits, they crack me up and I'm crazy just like them. Other than that, Robert Rodriguez, actually when I lived in Texas he selected me to be part of the movie "The Faculty" I think that's where the acting bug kicked in. Guillermo Del Toro, Tyler Perry, Sandra Bullock, there's just so many talented people out there that I would love to work with.
You have so much going on, what can we O expect for this 2011 from Jovanny Venegas? 2010 was a great year for me, and I'm really looking forward to 2011. I have my first two feature films coming out in 2011 "Trick of the Witch" which is Horror/Comedy the film is about a group of fashion models fighting an evil witchcraft course while stranded at a secluded mansion, it's based on Italian witchcraft. I play the role of Omar one of the Male Models. The film will be be having a New York City premier in February 2011, then the rest of the country in around the Summer of 2011. The other film I can't really discuss because I signed a
confidentiality contract but as far as I know it will be towards the end of 2011. I also have a few national commercials that will air in 2011. I also started my own Entertainment & Production company called "Red Alert Live" you can visit us on www.RedAlertLive.com. In 2011 I want to produce many more segments focusing on music and entertainment events across the country. So we will be coming to a city near you. I would also like to st art my own clothing line, something Urban, but with a very classy twist to it. But that's later down the road, I will also finish Producing my first documentary titled "My Life on Meth". And my specialty it would be hosting & reporting. When was www.RedAlertLive.com born? The idea has been there for over a year, but it took some time to pick the name out, the legalities, the logo, and just so many other things, that it takes when creating a brand & a business. But the official birth date was in April 2010. But we just recently went Live online at
OTM|MAGAZINE
www.RedAlertLive.com. And we are currently planning the official launch Red Carpet Party. And all of the followers and fans are invited to come and celebrate. So stay tuned! Who can benefit from Red Alert Live? In reality everyone can benefit from www.RedAlertLive.com and let me explain why. Not only will www.RedAlertLive.com bring the latest in Entertainment News, without being "cookie cutter" and sounding just like every one else out there. I don't know if you noticed sometimes when you turn on the TV it's the same story over & over and it pretty much sounds the same. We don't want to do that. It's annoying. Our style is young, fresh, diverse and unique. But at www.RedAlertLive.com we will also covering the latest events, concerts, clubs, travel, health and the list goes on. Once the viewer watches our coverage they will feel as if they were Live with us. But another thing is that we want to get involved with the community and give back to our viewers for example we went to work with community organizations especially those that focus primarily with atrisk youth and provide scholarships, mentoring, & training, & giving them the opportunity to report on the red carpet with. I believe if you believe in them, and open their minds to new ideas, they will believe in themselves. What are your New Year’s resolutions? I want to complete the documentary I'm producing titled "My Life on Meth" I want to be able to First of all I want to thank God for giving me so many blessings. My mother who's my #1 supporter. All my family & friends. Also I want to thank my followers, I really do appreciate, all of the messages, the comments the "likes" that you guys leave. And they really do make my day, especially on those days, when things are not going the way that you planned them. And of course OTM for this interview. RoccoRodriguezStudio.com for the Photography, Aldance Design Studio. "My Life on Meth" supporters California State University, Los Angeles, Hollywood Foreign Press Association, National Association of Latino Independent Producers, All of 2010 LPA Sponsors & Mentors. All my camera men & women who have done my camera work! Terry Bales, And everyone who's helped me along the way during this great journey. You know who you are :)
