HOW IT WORKS
from 25A July 2023
by 25A Magazine
We read one book a month. Every month we ask the featured author to choose a charity to support by auctioning off an autographed copy of their book. It is important to note ALL of the funds raised go directly to the charity of the month. We ask that you donate whatever amount you can as no donation is too small. We also donate our books after our meetings to different local organizations.

Treasurer: Lana Bezenyan Sukhman
Lana Bezenyan Sukhman is a first generation American. She was born in Brooklyn, NY to Ukrainian immigrants, who escaped an iron fisted authoritarian state in order to provide future generations of their family a life of freedom. As Lana was growing up, her family instilled in her the importance of why they escaped the former Soviet Union, a communist nation, which enforced religious persecution, suppression of freedom of speech, and repression of democratic rights. This inspired her to want to help others and to be the first family member to attend college and law school, in order to continue to fight for those freedoms.
Lana attended Rutgers University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 2003 Lana was admitted to Seton Hall School of Law as a Deans Scholar, earning her Juris Doctor degree in 2006. She now continues to pursue her passion for Law as the Supervising Attorney at Robertson, Anschutz, Schneid, Crane & Partners, PLLC.
She is the Treasurer of SoBookedUp, and her favorite thing about So Booked Up is that it combines her passions: reading, charity, and friendship. As treasurer, in charge of SoBookedUp’s charities, Lana is able to pursue her passion for helping others. But her most significant role in life is as a mother and wife.
