Dorff says “Next To You” is one of my most favorite songs that I have ever written. I wrote it about a person that I care deeply about and I hope that listeners love it and dance to it as much as I do!”
The songs, “Still Love Malibu” and “Wish You Could Stay” will be featured in the upcoming motion picture Natty Knocks which stars Danielle Harris along with horror legend Robert Englund. Dorff adds, “I’m super thrilled to have my songs “Wish You Could Stay” and “Still Love Malibu” in the film Natty Knocks. I've never had my songs in a movie before, so I am extremely excited to see how they utilize my pop songs in a horror film. “Wish You Could Stay” was one of the first songs that I ever wrote and to have it in a film is an extra reminder to me to never give up on songs, even if you didn’t think it was your best when you first wrote it.”

TikTok: Kaitlyndorff essica Carter Altman is a woman of many talents. You might recognize the shared name with her mother, the famous actress Lynda Carter, but Altman has an interesting career all her own. A lawyer, singer, and avid Wonder Woman fan, Altman first discovered her love for music in elementary school, before going on to study psychology and eventually earning her law degree. Despite first choosing a career in law, Altman never gave up on music – she recorded songs throughout law school, and performed with Lynda Carter at iconic stages such as the Kennedy Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center. Altman has now made the transition to full time singer, and part of this inspiration comes from watching her mother perform. Altman reflects on the cycle, saying, “I remember the first time I got to really see her on stage, and there was just this part of her that came alive. So to have that experience as a young adult, to then getting to actually perform with her on stage, and now, she comes to my shows… it’s so fun to be supported like that by the people you love.”
Altman’s music comes alive all on its own. Her songs range in style from the soft soothing melodies of her For You EP, to the pop and dance filled excitement of her latest single, “Pieces”, the first release from her coming album in the fall. Apart from the passionate sound of the songs themselves, Altman’s music resonates because of the truly meaningful messages they wholeheartedly convey. The songs on For You are cathartic, meant to share the universal experience of grief and loss, but also the peace that can be found. Altman’s song “Lucky One” is particularly evocative, as she wrote it about her father after his passing, and hoped that it would touch listeners and “remind them of someone in their life.” The theme of Altman’s new album is similarly emotional, but instead focuses on the aftermath of such a major kind of change. Altman describes the music as “touch[ing] on a lot of different points of human connection, relationships, and filled with a lot of hope.” The single “Pieces” is an anthem of that hope, with its joyful beat and powerful message of moving forwards. Altman’s voice shines through her music, and it is impossible for listeners to not be swayed by her candid lyrics and beautiful melodies. Her songs will either leave you with a quiet peace or the urge to dance your way out the door, a gratifying end to such moving music. Her coming album will not be one to miss.
