THE FOURTH PLACE After the industrial revolution, people began to be isolated from nature. Gradually, nature returned to life, and the ruins would reproduce the good relationship between man and nature.

THE FOURTH PLACE SITE INTRODUCTION Located in Yilan Wujie, it used to be known as Luodong factory of Zhongxing Paper Factory. I t w a s o p e ra t e d d u r i n g t h e J a p a n e s e occupation period until the end of the Republic of China in 1990, and then turned into privatization. In the current, the south side is the idle ZTE old factory area, and the north side is rented to a Xingzhong Paper Factory.
SITE
In this project, the design is for the old factory area that has been idle in the south.

In today's society, urban land use space is becoming increasingly saturated. Such a phenomenon has led to a gradual reduction in agricultural land or land in the first-tier industries, which in turn has led Taiwan to rely on imported crops and lead to low food self-sufficiency. PAST

In Yilan, the agricultural land is disappearing. "No agricultural land, no agriculture, no rural areas, no farmers" has become the primary problem of agriculture in Yilan County.

THE FOURTH PLACE ISSUE
Food self-sufficiency rate According to the results of historical and architectural surveys, we can notice how high the value of Zhongxing Paper Factory is in not only history, but also architecture and industry. We hope that we can consider the connection of the surrounding environment, put in fine agriculture, and leisure agriculture, and then further easing the problem of insufficient agricultural land. On the other hand, providing a program of garden o w n e rs e a c h s e a s o n t o i n c re a s e e m p l o y m e n t opportunities, hoping to help local revitalization and environmental security. Therefore, while improving urban problems, we can create it as a symbolic fourth place.

Valerio Olgiati once said: "One idea is very important when designing. He must work closely around the most basic architectural elements. Every line of a good plan must surround this one idea to form a tight Logic system, any element must have the meaning of its existence, and cause people to think" In this design, my concept is to use the basic elements of architecture to create contradictions.

Contradictions often give the building a tension that rises to the philosophical level and is an important tool to motivate people to think. I use elements to make the structure produce different level of tension, such as heavy against light, geometric versus non-geometric, symmetrical against asymmetry, etc., so that people can speculate when entering this space.

Fengjia Night Market Renovation New beginning, green square The Rong Rong Avenue is the main axis of the Feng Chia campus landscape. It has a fascinating avenue. By using the opening of the site to introduce the greenery on the campus to the site, it becomes the starting point for the night market tourists and students to walk. Development trip, modern mall The renovation here tries to preserve the overall atmosphere of the street houses around the night market, and the reconstruction of the Beacon Square is rebuilt into a large shopping mall. Providing a new business model in the night market site, using the guidance of the moving line, this space undertakes the green of the square, making the whole consumer environment more comfortable and convenient. Faith center, condensed emotion Renovating the church space in the site, not only serves local residents, but also expands the ethnic group of students who are infected with the same beliefs and the young people who will also join this life circle in the future. Memory of the start, paddy field square At that time, Wenhua Road had not been paved yet, and there were still paddy fields. Since the school is surrounded by paddy fields, teachers and students came in and out of the paddy field by Wenhua Road. Later, with the coordination of the Air Force, they finally paved the Wenhua Road.

Function Analysis
When it comes to Feng Chia, the first thing you will think of is Feng Chia University or the Feng Chia Night Market. The birth of the Feng Chia Night Market is due to the migration of Feng Chia University, which caused the vendors to gather together gradually. As time goes on, the current Feng C h i a N i g h t M a r ke t h a s s l o w l y declined, and students have gradually become reluctant to step into the Feng Chia Night Market. This phenomenon has made the time division of this space more obviously.

The site is located in Taichung City. Taichung Central District used to be the most glorious business district in Taichung. In recent years, due to the transfer of the central business district, the Central District has faced problems such as population loss and declining commercial activities. This old house reconstruction attempted to use the original framework to implant a show space, try to find the youth population outflow, and use the old and new contrast to present the style of the independent band.

After the passage of time, the original beating room and bleaching room left the original chemical material tank and migration track. In such a hollow space, the naturally growing plants invaded the edge of the manmade structure, such behavior reinforces the opportunity for the explorer to approach the nature.

In such a place, people will reach the relationship between the state of mind and the real world. Temporarily detach from the reality, and further to take a deep thinking of the meaning of oneself. This is a thought for the past and the future, thus the experience and imaginations of each explorer are different.
