AN IMMERSIVE SHOWROOM EXPERIENCE
WONDERING WHERE TO START YOUR KITCHEN DESIGN JOURNEY? THE NEW PALAZZO KITCHENS SHOWROOM IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO START. The Palazzo Kitchens Christchurch showroom made the move to its new Mandeville Street base at the end of last year.
“Moving to this location – a renovation and new build hub - has been fantastic for Palazzo, and hopefully for our neighbouring businesses,” says Kate Cunningham, manager at Palazzo Kitchens Christchurch.
Palazzo had been based in Moorhouse Ave since 2014, and when fitting out the new showroom, went for a more boutique look, with a relaxed ambience, so people feel comfortable to take time and can get a good sense of what they like, what styles appeal, and the technology and finishes available.
“So far, it’s been working well, with some people spending an hour consolidating their likes and dislikes, wandering around opening drawers, feeling the textures and enjoying the range of colours and finishes available. With 10 kitchens on display, each with its own personality, visitors can get a real feel for the layouts and styles that appeal to them,” says Kate.
“Our point of difference is that for 15 years, Palazzo has been providing the best of both worlds to New Zealanders – German precision manufacture and technology, combined with local style and design,” says Kate, “New Zealanders often look to Europe for inspiration in excellent kitchen design, and German-made kitchens are a particular standout. That was the driving force behind the inception of Palazzo Kitchens in Christchurch 15 years ago. Rather than just take inspiration, let’s access the product directly.”
Powerhouse German supplier, Nobilia, supplies exclusively to Palazzo Kitchens in New Zealand. Palazzo Kitchens also pairs with Leicht, offering a sophisticated range of modern kitchen architecture. One of the latest displays is a Leicht kitchen, featuring concrete trowelled front doors, paired with ribbed wooden fronts and electric opening drawers.
“To match the quality and precision of the German made joinery, we have brought in some beautiful appliance brands, and we are excited to have them installed and working in our displays. BORA, NEFF, and Bertazzoni are the stars on the cooking side, and we also have integrated fridges, wine fridges – all the necessities,” says Kate.
Something that’s particularly useful, is the photo-realistic software and screen sharing technology allowing designers to work remotely and saving customers the journey to the showroom. With kitchen designs currently underway for Blenheim, Nelson, West Coast and Central Otago – the technology is invaluable.
To get started on your dream kitchen, allow around an hour for an initial consultation in the showroom. Two weeks later, you will be invited back to view the initial design.
“If clients love where we are heading, we keep working together. If they don’t love it, there is nothing lost, as we don’t charge for this design time. We find that once we are designing with clients and engaged in the process, it’s a win-win situation,” says Kate.
Palazzo Kitchens Christchurch can manage your kitchen renovation or new build kitchen project from conception, through to installation, ensuring that the kitchen truly becomes the heart of your home.
