Brand Guidelines Logo Variations

The brand has three versions of a logo. Blue, White, Black and Flat. To increase the weight and the visibility of RSM brand, whenever possible, the color version, or the white version should be applied. When it’s impossible to do it, there is the flat option. This one should only be applied when there are limitations in the use of color, or when the printing process demands it (like print on wood, metal, or vinyl), whilst preserving the best reading of the logo. The black version is for Black & White prints, only.


Brand Guidelines Safety Area

To preserve the good reading of the logo, a security area was defined around it. This area is defined by the area from the top of the eagles head, to the point of it’s beak. The minimum free space applies to all versions of the logo and is intended to protect the logo of any other element that is near and can prevent or influence their reading and visibility. Whenever possible, the margin should be increased. At some points, the security area in the horizontal version can be counted from the text block and not from the head. This, heavily depends on the amount of information on the background of where the logo will be applied.


Brand Guidelines Proportions

The logo was created with a proportion. The creation of those proportions and the measurement units used to do it, give it a sense of harmony. These are measurements to be respected. In the Vertical Version, the RSM Protection stays inside an imaginary box between the centre of the 3rd star and the 3rd feather. The space between the eagle and the text block is that of a doubled star (star at 200% ou star x 2). The space between RSM and Protection is that of an horizontal T. In the Horizontal Version, the text block is the same size as the shield/wing height. The distance between the eagle and the text block is the PR on Protection. The space between RSM and Protection is again, an horizontal T.

To ensure the readability of reproduction in varying ranges, it is recommended that the logo is not reproduced in size smaller than indicated on the side.

The preferred color for the background of the RSM brand is blue. Unable to be used, should be given preference to black or white. The basic principle is to maintain color integrity with maximum possible contrast between the logo and the background color. These examples should serve as a guide, so that the visibility of the logo can be preserved. Do not use the logo in smaller formats than the minimum size.

Brand Guidelines Attention

ATTENTION

It should be noted that the RSM brand must maintain its integrity, whatever the media which is used. Therefore, we present here some alerts for some of the incorrect situations that may occur, the more frequent ones. These examples are not intended to cover all the possibilities for misuse. They rather serve to draw attention to the concern with the graphical consistency of the RSM brand.

Following the guidelines showed in this manual ensures a consistent presentation of the RSM brand. It is essential the collaboration of all, on the correct application and understanding of the brand.
