Letter from the owners

December in Costa Rica is a magical time of transformation on so many different levels December is traditionally the first official month of our dry season with the tropical rains which are part of our weather patterns through November subsiding almost entirely for most of the country during the month of December

This transition is inspired by a seasonal wind pattern which settles over the atmosphere here in paradise and creates a unique weather phenomenon which Costa Rica people and its visitors have come to associate with the Holiday Season While snow and freezing temps are associated with Christmas and the Holiday season in much of the Northern Hemisphere, it is not uncommon for Costa Rican to talk about feeling the warm winds of December and saying ”ahh, it feels like Christmas!”

The Christmas season here in Costa Rica is a month-long celebration, as Costa Rican employees, by law, get an Aguinaldo, or holiday bonus equal to an extra month’s salary This comes in the first two weeks of December and creates an energy, economic boom and joyous sensation which is palpable in the air, culture and its people This is an AMAZING time to be visiting Costa Rica as the end of the slower tourism months, the end of the season rains, the onset of the vibrant peak season, holidays, and pending New Year bring out the absolute best of Costa Rica’s Pura Vida spirit

The real estate market, much like the rest of Costa Rica, is also vibrant this time of year with the plummeting temps up north reminding so many people of the beauty, energy and opportunity in this emerging marketplace After what has been a record setting 2021 in sales and real estate interest, the indicators for the rest of this year and 2022 are INCREDIBLE Unlike the USA which has seen skyrocketing pricing, Costa Rica’s market has been robust, but mostly focused on absorption of existing inventory and there are still great opportunities here to be found Inventory is dwindling, but Buyers today are going to be reaping the benefits of a tremendous pent up demand for PURA VIDA

Happy holiday season!
