The 31st Force Support Squadron Readiness Team welcomed a brand new team in June, and they have not skipped a beat since their arrival. During this transition, these FSS professionals prepared 14 members for upcoming deployments to three different Areas of Responsibility and returned three with honor. The team also provided Home Station Readiness Training for two FSS guard units conducting their annual tours here at Aviano. Additionally, the Readiness Team is solely responsible for all readiness reporting to Higher Headquarters which is briefed monthly to Congress and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Also during this transition period, the team was faced with two mortuary affairs cases and returned both members swiftly and promptly with honor to their loved ones in the states with the utmost honor, dignity, and respect. This team has proven that no task is too big or too small, and they are invaluable to the unit and the wing.
