Aviano Library The Aviano Library is constantly working to increase programming and anticipate community needs. Over the last few months, they put on an AMAZING Summer Reading Program! They broke out each week into themes: Disney, Willy Wonka, Minecraft, and Harry Potter! The ending event for Harry Potter Trivia was BOOKED SOLID with kids vs. adults – 32 contestants, 16 adults, and 16 kids – and the kids won! The Finale was held in the Base Theater, featuring the new Lion King movie! Over 200 people signed up for the event, and attendance broke previous records by over 30%. Additionally, the Library took on the Wing Commander’s vision of an installation-level Reading List Collection. Based upon input from Wyvern Airmen, the library has obtained over 71 titles geared toward specific categories of personnel. Check it out if you are over at the Library! 22

Get to know... SrA MOCTAR TOURE 31 SFS/S3OG • LARGE VEHICLE INSPECTION STATION OPERATOR HOMETOWN: PAWTUCKET, RHODE ISLAND

HOW DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE AIR FORCE MISSION: I provide specialized security by inspecting large vehicles entering Aviano Air Base. We get to work directly with K-9 and process about 19,200 vehicles a year to ensure our Wyvern families are safe from vehicle-borne improvised explosive devices. I am also a leader amongst my peers. I bring a positive impact to the workplace and lead by example with a healthy lifestyle.

FUN THINGS YOU LIKE TO DO WHEN YOU’RE NOT WORKING? I am a fitness enthusiast who enjoys playing basketball, traveling, using my tuition assistance, and volunteering for base events.

DRAGON OR WYVERN FITNESS CENTER? I prefer the Wyvern Fitness Center.

FAVORITE DRINK AT DEJA BREW? White Mocha

GO TO MEAL AT THE DFAC? Fighter Wing Fridays all the way! But my best friend Jamie is my personal chef and can’t be beat.

FAVORITE OUTDOOR REC OR ITT TRIP? My favorite trip so far has been the trip to the Harry Potter Museum in Milan.

FINAL THOUGHTS? Take advantage of your off time and travel as much as possible. Don’t sit in your dorm or house all day. Especially if you’re single, there is so much more to do here than just going out to the bars. Go out and see the world, take advantage of the opportunities we have here. 24
