MSgt Trenton Hamson MSgt Trenton Hamson is assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron as a Unit Deployment Manager (UDM). He is responsible for scheduling training for the 141 military assigned FSS in order to keep us mission ready at all times. During the month of May Trenton worked feverishly to rapidly deploy 9 members under COVID-19 restrictions with zero discrepancies. Additionally, when he wasn’t working as the UDM, MSgt Hamson augmented the post office to ensure their mission was able to continue without major delays or closure. He has proven that no task is too big and that he is definitely a very valuable asset to our unit and the wing.

Congrats Team of the Month!! posture, a squadron-wide email was sent announcing, “The IT Support Team is back!”. Shortly after, a response was received from an active-duty squadron member: “Didn’t know you guys left! Thank you for the awesome support.” That message reflects the hard work and dedication displayed by the 31 FSS IT Support Team during the COVID-19 crisis. Whether operating strictly “on-call” or in rotating two-person teams, they worked tirelessly to make telework a viable option for military and civilian personnel, while still providing necessary onsite support for continuing FSS services and mission essential personnel. After communicating issues and priorities via daily virtual briefings, the team set out to make work-life under quarantine as seamless as possible. Their work spanned from installing VPN clients, re-imaging computers, making custom cables, digitally delivering files for OWA support, to providing daily local and remote troubleshooting. The team also worked distancing requirements. Lastly, the team played a key role in helping boost morale for airmen and families living on base, by providing critical AV support and training for the Community Center mobile marquee that was used to showcase outdoor movies at the dorms. Thanks for all of the work behind the scenes to keep FSS running!!
