The Airman Leadership School completed a year long project with the ribbon cutting and memorialization of the TSgt Adam K. Ginett Airman Leadership School. TSgt Ginett was a fellow Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) Technician who was killed in action on 19 Jan 2010 by an improvised explosive device while dismounted during operations near Kandahar Air Base, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 31st Civil Engineer Squadron at Aviano. The team worked with 12 agencies across 3 MAJCOMs and dedicated over 1.2K hours to this project. The ribbon cutting took place on 13 Feb 2020 with TSgt Ginett's family and the Air Force EOD community present to witness the special event. Additionally, they stood up the first Enlisted Heritage Hall at Aviano with a team of 86 members across the 31st FW who volunteered over 600 hours designing, sketching and painting 79 years of Air Force history throughout the school. Their work was showcased to 35 units throughout the base during an open-house tour. Solidifying their hard work and dedication, the 7 member instructor staff pushed 384 CCAF credits and successfully graduated 48 Airman from 4 GSU's as new front line supervisors.

SSgt Mathew Brown is one of the Post Office’s most brilliant shining stars and has been a vital member to the postal operations! He recently became the NCOIC of Parcel Service Center where he leads 10 Airmen and oversaw the distribution of 31,626 packages in January to the Aviano Community. Each day that SSgt Brown comes to work, he ensures postal Airmen are set up for success by mentoring countless personnel in every section while continually improving processes for the 8K customers he serves. He recently revamped the Post Office final notice program by establishing a better tracking system that will allow the post office to save space for the many inbound parcels received each year. During the Holiday season SSgt Brown worked very hard to distribute and track parcels, this included him working double shifts and periodically checking in on every Airmen in various sections during the holidays. Outside of his day to day mission, he volunteered to facilitate the Wing wide 5/6 Speed Mentoring event. SSgt Brown has unlimited potential and under his leadership and perseverance the Air Force will continue to develop countless professional and knowledgeable, Noncommissioned Officers such as himself.
