Word to your

Momma!

All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my amazing mother. The amount of support she has given to me in my life compares to no other. I can never thank my mother enough for all she has done for me and has surely raised me to become the woman that I am today. Every day I miss you and my daily calls won’t ever stop! Happy Mothers day to the greatest Mom! Submission by: Yenelys A. Baxter

My mother is the best because she always tries to make sure everyone around her is taking care of. Whether it’s making sure you’re well feed, have a place to rest your head, or just need someone to talk to she’s there. Thank you, Mom for being you and for raising me to be the best version of myself and to love others as themselves. Happy Mother's Day! Submission by: Chelsea Hayes

5

If selflessness was a person, it would be my mom. She has given more of herself to us than we can even begin to repay. I know love, I know my place in this world, I know myself, I know kindness, I know humility and I know strength because of who she is as a human, a woman and most importantly, my mother. She teaches me, still to this day, how to live not just for myself but to always be a beacon of light, wisdom and happiness to my family and everyone i encounter. I can’t even begin to repay her for all she is and has done but I can, and most certainly do, show her my appreciation for the beautiful soul she is inside and out. I cherish every precious minute and moment we share together. Even across many oceans and lands, I can feel her hugging my soul when I’m down and helping me up. I guess, if I had to sum it all up, i would say she’s my blessing. Submission by: Zoë St Laurent

My mom is the best mom because she thought me a lot of things. One of them is loving, being kind and caring not only my family but the whole world. I grew up learning how to live for the sake of others because of her. As a single mom, she raised 3 kids on her own and managed to let us graduate college. Because of her we all turned out amazing. She also thought me how to be a good person. She is my everything and eventhough she is not here with me anymore, I will always remember all the knowledge, memories, values, affection and love she gave me. I miss you and I love you so much mom. Submission by: Eun Jung Koo From Philippines to Japan my mother is always there to help and see her grandchildren. She was always there to support the family when I gave birth or whenever my husband is deploys. She is vital to our family dynamic. With the onset of COVID she hasn’t been able to travel but always call to video chat with her grandchildren. Submission by: Malourdes Fitzgerald

My mum is the best because she is a string person, who can't be kept down for long. She has been so supportive of this life changing move and I am so grateful she could join me on my Italian adverture. Submission by: Jessie Chilvers

Team of the Month

Going into the 12th month of the Global Pandemic, the Unites States Postal Services saw its largest numbers of parcels in history being processed at Post Offices across the country and overseas locations through its Military Postal Services operations. With a fraction of assigned manning being sent out to support worldwide taskings, and while experiencing a large turnover of personnel, this amazing team of all stars continued to support the ever-growing, 8,000+ population of Aviano Air Base processing close to 10,000 pieces of mail weighing over 56,000 pounds as the region saw yet another lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the Official Mail Center expeditiously processed daily mail for 56 units, and implemented the INTRA tracking system to account for thousands of dollars in unit expenditures, ensuring the receipt of each high-value item and the strictest accountability for taxpayer dollars. Due to the continued travel restrictions, the Finance section saw a 40% increase in operations as well, processing $47, 000 in postage and Money Orders, as members turned to the Postal Services to maintain some quality of life during unprecedented times.
