31 FSS Warehouse The 31FSS Warehouse Team consistently exhibits superior customer service to all of Aviano Air Base. In December, this small team of six supported all of Aviano by providing chairs, tables, and other logistical support to a wide variety of large events, such as Wyvern Wonderland, 31 AMXS

promotion ceremony, 31 LRS retirement ceremony, 31 SFS Airman Appreciation Dinner, 31 MUNS Commander’s Call, 31 LRS Christmas Party, and the 56 HMU Remembrance Ceremony. Additionally, they delivered over $52K worth of items to FSS facilities while receiving over $60K worth of food items from vendors, adding to a $700K inventory for which they have an amazing 0% variance on their end-of-month inventory. The Warehouse Team is constantly working on projects and services that positively affect our installation, from the Commissary to the Club, to the Child Development Center and the Golf Course, their hands are always busy for the benefit of Team Aviano!

The Risiera di San Sabba is a former Nazi concentration camp where three to five thousand people lost their lives during the war. After lunch, we will hike two hours to the Redipuglia War Memorial. The memorial and nearby cemetery contain the remains of over 100,000 unidentified soldiers. Trenches and other war relics can be seen nearby. Instructor SPOTLIGHT Stefania Antoniazzi is a lyric soprano opera singer who graduated with honors from the Conservatory "J. Tomadini," in Udine. She studied singing with R. Roma and perfected her technique with S. Lowe. She has a degree in music and art from the University of Bologna. While there, she also studied music education. She has won a number of musical competitions and made her operatic debut in 1998 as Mimì in Puccini's La Bohème at the Teatro Auditorium Concordia in Pordenone. After her debut, she received many leading operatic roles which earned her positive critical acclaim.

In addition to being a singer, she is also a vocal coach and founded a popular music school in Sacile where students receive specialized musical and vocal training. Stefania has been a music instructor for the Aviano Community Center for over a decade, teaching piano and voice lessons to children and adults. Enrollment is open for her “Beginning Beats for Bambinos” for children 4 to 8 years old.

Sheri Gray has been a member of the Aviano Community Center Team since August 2015. She is the instructional class coordinator and manages 38 cultural art classes (music, dance, Italian, art, and dog training) for 350 students. She has increased the program enrollment by 40% in the last year including recruiting four additional instructors within the past few months, adding an additional 12 classes for the community. Sheri is also a key programmer in all base-wide events to include 4th of July, Fall Fest, and Wyvern Wonderland. She conceptualized and executed new annual events like Spring into Spring and Beauty and the Ball-gown. Unfortunately, we are sad to say that Sheri will be PCSing in February after dedicating three and a half years to the Aviano Community Center. We wish you all the best in your next assignment!!
