01 Market House Type: house Location: Tainan ,Taiwan 2 Area:100m Located in the heart of the most complex area in Tainan, Taiwan. The block is a high density area and a mix of 2 temples, low-rise housing, and a traditional market which one can buy things from the best local snack to smuggled watches. The project aims to explore the “common usage of space around this area. Respond to it, and create a house for a single parent, immigrant family. Hoping the house will improve the relationship of family members as well as the relationship between the local society and the family.

02 Community Library renovation/conservation Type: hybrid Location: Tainan ,Taiwan 2 Area: 5000m
The site is used by millitary force repeatedly throughout the past hundred years, with the newly planned roads cutting through.
Located on a site which was of military use, the project is to regenerate the existing low-rise housing on the site and turn it into a community center/library. To prevent the new build from posing a sudden impact on the residents nearby, the new building is designed to be surrounded by the remains of the old housing, which helps to maintain the scale and the way of living in the area, and gradually bring the user to the library mixed with new and old, renovation and conservation.

03 Canal Shop Type: shop, office Location: Tainan ,Taiwan 2 Area: 500m
The project is located on the historical site of Tainan-Once the most important port in Taiwan, full of canals, stores, and opportunities. Years later, because of geometrical changes and government policies, the canals disappeared, a giant road cut through the area. The locals call the road "deepest scar of Tainan". Most importantly, the sense of place and the old way of living is gradually fading away. The project is to recall the memory of the old time and combine it with
Ssectional relationship between the underground water and the shop.
the new shopping program-a new but familiar activity in the area. There's a 4 storey high "water display window", which gathers water directly from the underground water.

05 Urban Linkage vertical campus for DEPT. ARCH. NCKU Type: education Location: Tainan ,Taiwan 2 Area: 5000m With years of expansion, the space for our department is clearly insufficient. The key to the project is to redesign the faculty of architecture in a vertical way. Since the site locates on rim of the “old part of the campus, with a famous open space"Banyan garden" beside it. The project aims to link the city and the Banyan garden. And meanwhile creates spaces with good quality for the faculty of architecture.

02 International workshop SPECTACLE*ORDINARY (2012 London festival of architecture participant)
Type: exhibition Location: London,UK [Cenchrus] A genus of grasses having spikelets enclosed in ovoid spiny involucres that form burs. It floats while wind blowing, travels when passing by and adapts to the tough surroundings. [Bicycle wheel] A rigid circular ring connected by spokes to a hub, designed to turn around an axle passed through the center. It carries passengers and provides mobility.
project is presented by Department of Architecture, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. Using elements that are both easily being seen and easily being neglected in daily life to create an installation and to construct a bridge, we try to reexamine how the ordinary objects could generate a spatial and visual spectacle.
A collaboration between Architecture and Art, students and teachers, nature and artifacts, this

03 Tree Scrapper A compitition held by Pixar, Transforming a campus landmark into "Monsters University." There are several old Banyan trees in Cheng-Kung University but no one knows that the biggest Banyan in the campus is actually a school building—Sullivan’s Treescrapper which is donated by Monsters inc. CEO Sullivan of Monsters University ChengKung. In the night, monsters would turn on the light in the Treescrapper. When the sky turns dark, monsters would take their student ID card to the drain cover. After identified process they would shrink. Small monsters would slide through the drainpipe to the building. There are basketball court, class rooms, laboratory and many activity spaces. The securities of the building are some monsters with great vision. If suspicious people approach, securities would announce to the building and turn off the main power until they leave. The animals around the Treescrapper such as squirrels and dogs are actually manipulated by monster students to protect their building from exposing.
All sorts of program was packed in the giant banyan tree. Labs were in the basement, basketball court is high up in the branch, principal's office has the best view of all. That's why he is never out.
Squirrels are intricate machines controled by the security.
The way in is known only by the very few insiders.
