Beautifying Louisiana one woman at a time, Hanna Herrington Lavergne has expanded the family business into the thriving company it is today

Hanna doesn’t have a can-do attitude, but more of a will-do Accomplishing everything she has set her mind to thus far, Hanna has expressed gratitude for the people that have helped her along the way. HerringStone’s Boutique originally opened in Monroe in 1989 by Debbie Herrington and Cindy Stone.

Debbie, Hanna’s mother, worked in a boutique during college and when the owners retired, she purchased the shop Debbie and her sister Cindy named the store by combining their married names.

Hanna grew up in the business, being the daughter of Debbie, and propositioned her mother to expand the business outside of Monroe. On one December morning at 2:00 A.M., Hanna awoke from a dream and called her mother to say she was going to open her own boutique. When her mother asked what she would name it, Hanna had to think of this for weeks before deciding to expand the already thriving business she grew up in.

She had fallen in love with the Acadiana area, which made choosing Lafayette an easy decision for her first go at business ownership She saw the potential in River Ranch when the shopping centers were still new. Her mother, being an experienced shop owner, questioned the location of the shop. Hanna seemed to have a vision for her future by saying,
