My Primary School no. 342 in Warsaw
My school was established in 1 September 2003. My school is located in Warsaw at Strumykowa 21a Street.The building is large, she has four floors . School has gymnastic hall.This school has a patron, who is Jan Marcin Szancer, known illustrator of children's books. I like to go to this school, because it's nice to spend time with friends. The advantage of my school is the friendly atmosphere.

Patron of our school Jan Marcin Szancer – he was an illustrator. He illustrated 150 books mainly books for children.

Educational system in Poland Our school is very big we have more than 400 students. There you can find the kindergarden and 6-year primary school. The first year is for pupils who are 7 years old and the sixth year is for 13-year old students. Every year has many classes. For example, the fourth year has classes such as A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H. There are more or less 12-30 students in each class. For example in class 4A there are 19 pupils, in 4B -12, 4C- 26 etc.

Music
Grades Pupils in year 1,2 and 3 get descriptive grades. It means that teachers write descriptions what student have done well or not. Years 4,5,6 have 1-6 grades. 1- is the worst grade it means „not sufficiant” 2- means „passing” (you can pass to higher class) 3- means „sufficient” 4 – „good” 5- „very good” 6 – is the best grade and means „excellent”
Our school day Usually we have six or seven classes every day. There are a lot of children and not enough classrooms in our school so we sometimes start classes in the morning (at 8.00 or 8.55) or in the atrernoon (at. 11.40, 12.45). We have two long breakes for lunch. First from 12.25 till 12.45, second from 2.25 pm till 2.45 pm.
The new year starts in 1 September. We are in the school uniforms. Our teacher are happy, but children are sad. We listen Polish National Anthem
We finish school on 28th of June
FREE TIME We have two terms. First „winter term� starts in September and finishes in Fabruary. We have about two weeks holiday at Christmas and two weeks winter holidays in January or February. The second term (summer term) starts in February and finishes at the end of June. In March or April we have six days holiday at Easter. The summer holidays are about 9 or 10 weeks long. It depends on a particular year.
