Heavy well fleshed beef cows sold to a top price of 254.5p/kg for a Limousin cross form JG&PH Thompson & Sons, Selside with others at 209p/kg from RG&H Preece, Roeburndale and 199p/kg from B&SE Carter, Ellel. Other were regularly 180p/kg to 195p/kg and medium types 160p/kg to 175p/kg, with a keen interest in those suitable for finishing. Top grossing beef cow was a Limousin cross from JG&PH Thompson& Sons, Selside achieving £1666. Closely followed by another Limousin cross from PJ&ES Rogerson, Appleby at £1643.
