WEDDING WRAP UP.

Changing your name can take time — even months! Don’t plan on using your married name on things like honeymoon travel or buying a home right after your wedding. Use your maiden name for now, and update as necessary later on. The wedding is over, but you need to take care of a few more things before turning your dream day into a memory. Here are a few things you won’t want to forget.

start your life together

Make sure you write your thank you notes and get them in the mail no later than eight weeks after your wedding. Make sure you add a personal note to each guest about the gift you received and how much you appreciate them for coming to the wedding.

If you’re changing your name, you’ll need a certified copy of your marriage license. Then you can go to your nearest social security office. After that you can usually do your drivers license, bank accounts, and credit cards at the same time.

create an album

After the wedding, you will need to take on the task of selecting your photos. Allow yourself some time – there will be hundreds to sort through! Pick your favorites and compare with your spouse to come up with a final list.

Once you’ve chosen your photos, check your wedding photography package to see your album is included. Most photographers have a service they use or can recommend ones they trust. You’ll treasure this album forever, so it’s worth having it done professionally.
