WHICH CAMP? The American Camp Association provides a great checklist!
• View website, social media & videos: Camps have a wealth of information on their websites and social media platforms including leadership information, camp philosophy, program, activities, photos, camp video, session length, dates & rates, blogs and much more. • Get to Know the Camp Director: The director makes the ultimate decisions at camp so when you ask questions, make sure you like the answers you are receiving. Keep in mind you are starting a partnership with the camp director so you want to make sure there is a feeling of trust and comfort. Meet them at the Virtual Camp Fair on 2/21. https://www.accelevents.com/e/ NJCampFair2021 • Tour the Camp: Scheduling a camp tour over the summer gives the future camper and family a chance to see the camp in action. Ask the camp director questions while you are in the camp environment. This also gives children the feeling that they are part of the selection process. The more involved 28 Camp Guide 2021
