REDEVELOPMENT HOUSING Academic Project | 6th Semester
Typology Automobile Headquarters Location Erandawane,Kothrud,Pune Project Info: Demand for Residential and Commercial unit has been on rise with the increase in population.The existing housing communities have a feeling of discomfort with lo of uncertainties & unknown when it come s to redevelopment by builder .Considering this the Indian goverment is providing various incentives and new provision. Thus one of such housing society wants to redevelop its complex and is in serch of an architect.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
BUILDING 1- 66M (21 FLOORS+PODIUM) BUILDING 2-48M(15 FLOORS+PODIUM) BUILDING 3-48 M (15 FLOOR+PODIUM)
1. Predominant wind direction from west to east side. 2. Sufficient penetration of light on north and east sides and insufficient penetration of light on west side. 3. Gradual slop towards entry of site 4. Considerable vegetation around site

Arnima Solar Decathelon India Typology Single family Housing Site Area 4480sq m (448 sqm per single family housing) Role Team member(Design Team) Project Info: The site for nilaya housing is located in Thiksey village,which is 15 kilometer down to Leh.The region is a dry desert,whichfalls under cold climate zone(Ref-ECBC 2017),the prime ministerof upheld a vision for India to becomenet-zero2070.This proposal will be a model and step towards that vision.The recent policies proposed by goverment of India in 2019,has liberalized leh-ladakh creating an opportunity for housing development and investment in the region,but currentlythere are no advancement in housing construuction. The local communities use the traditional techniques which are effective, which will be a baseline for our project partner ‘ASEEM foundation’.Wewould be developing an innovative housing module which will be Net-zero,resolving the many challenges faced here. after the submisssion of the 3rd deliverable we have been successfully beeen shortlisted in the top 6 as finalist.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
The site of each module is a sloping land of countour differance of 15mm Meso Level plan Leh is a cold desert which falls under the cold climatic zone ( according to ECBC 2017).It receives extreme cold winter ranging from -10 to -20 degree celsius ranging from November to February and extreme summers in themounth for oneor two week days The sloping land helped us take our building into the ground by cutting some part of the land for expericing the earth berming effect.
