Planned by both parties, the effort to illuminate the political stage with theatrical antics has resulted in “we the people” being flooded with a yawning revelation that an accelerated leap to the bottom of disunity is progressing well. At best, we are in store for even more discourse through election day, and perhaps after the contested results are tallied—try to prepare in advance, the ride is just beginning.

Also, adding monumental distractions to daily living is the fear that the coronavirus may visit a neighborhood like yours. However, if it doesn’t arrive at your doorstep, the knowledge that our country’s supply of medicines and a host of other vital products could be halted by the Chinese—will leave you feeling anxious and overwhelmed as well.

Of course, let’s not forget a stock market that gyrates similar to a 1920s flapper. Up, down, and “living for the moment,” the markets are moving in a manner that

provokes lots of smiles and pleasantries, so long as the bulls continue to charge and push the bears aside.

At this point, you may ask, “What does this have to do with me?” We’re glad you asked.

With nerves of steel, each of us attempts to make our way to paradise, albeit, with disproportionate results. It seems that when we are trying to relax, the opposite occurs. Blame it on technology, the kids, or society; you won’t be wrong; all are the obvious culprits in stealing pieces of your solitude and peace.
