The first day

ď Ź Tainan County Governor's residence The Tainan County Governor Official Residence was constructed in 1911. It was the residence for administrative officials in Tainan at the time and also the temporary residence for the Governor-General of Taiwan during the Japanese Occupation Period. The exquisite brick architecture features rare wooden blinds and door screens.


ď Ź Tainan Confucius Temple ď Ź Koxinga Shrine In 1661, Koxinga successfully drove out the Dutch. Following his death the next year, Tainan residents erected the temple to commemorate his spirit in fighting off the Dutch and reclaim the territory.

The Confucius Temple in Tainan was built in 1666, it was the first Confucius Temple, before the end of Manchu Dynasty, it was the location of the highest official institute of higher learning in Taiwan. The Taiwan Palace of "Confucianism Study", it owned the incompatible position of culture and education, and was called "The Highest Institute".


Chihkan Tower Chikanlou ( Chihkanlou ) has been an ad ministration center from the Dutch's occupati on period. Its original name was Provintia whic h means “eternity” in Dutch. In 1661, when the Chinese General Cheng Ch engkung repelled the Dutch, Provintia was cha nged to be Chentien governor's mansion.

The second day

 Budokan Martial Arts Hall "Budokan Martial Arts Hall“ built in 1937, during the Japanese occupation of the Secretary prison officials, police daily exercises judo, kendo's training ground. 2004, by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of Taichung registered as historic buildings.

National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (NTMoFA) was founded in 1988.The NTMoFA is dedicated to the education and promotion of visual arts. It places great emphasis on collecting works by Taiwanese artists and exploring unique characteristics of modern and contemporary Taiwanese arts.

Taichung Park Taichung Park was built in 1903, and the park was announced a historical spot by Taichung City Government in 1999. Taichung Park is one of the eight main scenic spots in Taiwan, and the figure of pavilion in Taichung Park is a landmark of Taichung.

This site used to be an ophthalmology clinic previously owned by a Japanese ophthalmologist named Miyahara during, the Japanese occupation period of Taiwan. In Taiwan’s Restoration period, it was the Taichung City Government Public Health Bureau. However, it was deserted for a long time after the bureau was moved to another location. The 921 earthquake and a strong typhoon destroyed a portion of the building. In 2010, a pastry business in Taichung named Dawn Cake bought the building and rebuilt it as it is now.
