The new Contemporary Art Wing is built upon the inherent qualities of its site. Our design approach is not an act of creating another iconic building, but a delicated adaptation of creating “Non-Iconic OPEN PLATFORM” based on linking the fragmented pieces (City and Park, Park and Park and Old and New), preserving the existing museum and parks and fitting three programs – 1. Galleries, 2. Education (Library and Classrooms), 3. Social Common (Cafe, Store and Multipurpose Room) in one continuous yet site specific planning and programmatic configuration. Adopting this attitude is to assume the uniqueness of the place and not to dismiss its richness. The principal works are tailored interventions to increase connectivity, favor adjacencies, highlight qualities and improve circulation. The vision guided by MALI to reassess the role of the new museum allowed us to celebrate change and newness, and to help the institution recast itself as an open and accessible public place and a Museum for the twenty-first century. The glass museum and new plaza create a revitalized public identity for the

Intended design concept pursues Adaptive Mass Segmentations for Maximum Programatic Exposures in order to provide actual as well as visual connections among events & activities at included programs. Segmenting solid mass into pieces enables buried programs to be exposed to the public and supplementary carving out section profiles from each pieces per program requirements allows that mass becomes hollow frames accommodating various street art forms and related facilities. Also within segmented pieces by placing public programs at the middle and required programs at the sides, exposed programs are enabled to have maximum level of exposure to the public. By doing so, the proposed design challenges the ways of containing street arts into a certain form of architectural boundary with new definition of programatic configurations.

SITE INTRODUCTION Poject location is within the Hongdae Area, Seoul, South Korea near the Hongik University, It is known for the most young and vibrant area with its urban street arts and indie music culture, clubs and entertainments. Hongdae area is known for its indie spirit, urban street arts and underground musicians. The area provides street art festivals and performances, as well as music concerts by independent artists and mainstream entertainers. which is well-known for its prestigious art college, the neighborhood was built on a foundation of artistic souls ince the 1990s. In the early days, thanks to the cheap the cheap rent back, budget musicians and street artists started moving into the ateliers of Hongdae area. Now many of them had later transform into cafes or live music venues and the area has long had a reputation as the mecca of urban arts and underground club culture.

Intended design concept pursues Conversions in the Characteristics of Materiality for Major Building Components that are exterior envelope and interior space by Burring Defined Hard Edge (Exterior Surface) VS Substantiating Undefined Soft Edge (Interior Void) in oder to challenge the boundary of definition of architectural materiality. Specifically, the concept carried out through Dematerializing Material Exterior Surface Enveloped with Sprayed Mist and Materializing Immaterial Interior Void Enveloped with translucent Glass Louvers.

Governing architectural expression at exterior with louver provide Green features to the design by providing First, Evaporative Cooling at facade: water spray creating mist around building for the summer to cool down the temperature of the atmosphere. Second, Passive Ventilation at facade: heat chimney to vent out used air from building inside. Third, Solar Heating at roof: evacuated tube collectors to provide required heating load for the building. to achieve all of the above, louver transforms color from white at the bottom to black at the roof with gentle gradation. also Governing architectural expression at interior with translucent louver provides partitions for the exhibition, railing at void, finish pattern at floor and ceiling and artificial lights to glow at night.

The site is placed on a hillside with a sweeping view and a broad slope to the northwest, and faces a mountain to the south. It poses a particular challenge that the orientation of the house and of the main view cannot be the same. The couple wanted a place for various social activities and events, in addition to residence, after the husband retires. To do so, they wanted a separate guest house apart from the main house, an independent study-cum-atelier for the husband, as well as a multi-purpose space that can accommodate about 20 people.

The purpose of the workshop is the basic work of the city infrastructure in Bharansi, India, through collaboration with three universities in India. Varanasi was very old city as originated about 1,000 years. Although famous city in the all of world, nothing plan of city infrastructure as like architectural plans. Then three university ; indian, korean, frence were done works that draw all of city's frame.

Experience in India has become a good foundation for my architectural experience. It was a good experience to do a small project, bumping into other languages and people with different cultures in poor situations. Although the outcome was not high, it was a significant time to finish the project. Their culture was a special example of a religious occasion, so it could have been a different experience. Also, it will be a big step forward in building an understanding of the country.

The project is planned from a city perspective. The city of songdo has many contexts. There are many stories in the city, such as roads, nodes, and buildings, which allow the construction of a building, using the context of the whole city. The project uses the axis of the principal node in the urban planning of Songdo to pursue a new master plan by blending the axis of view, cultivating and viewing the axis of vision. The new urban grid will be a new landmark in the planning city of Songdo, and will pursue a new way of thinking after leaving the traditional architectural method. Through this method, you can understand the new urban context.

contour of louvers remodeling in sin-sa 4th grade

The project is a project to remodel a building located in Sinsa-dong, Seoul. When I first started the project, I wanted to solve it in one architectural language. One architectural language wanted to set up a shape as a louvre and then proceed through the repetition through repetition. The design of the preexisting slab was designed to maintain the existing slab shape and designed the louvers. To improve the characteristics of louver, the thickness of the louver was adjusted considering the volume and the surrounding context. Inside the program, the program targeted foreign residents for foreign residents. Designed to be a good sight for the cook, the cook designed the inside of the cooking room and designed the inside of the cooking room.



Also interior design was organized through the same pattern as externally constructed.

Recently, a lot of buildings in Korea have been shown. The container has many advantages in the construction sector, with a short construction period, easy construction and economical construction. There are already many container buildings in the country, and it is emerging as a new building trend. We also plan to utilize the merits of these containers to plan the new cultural space of Gyeongju, it will be proposed in the course of design progress, architectural planning, and future plans. When we first laid the focus on this project, it was the selection of the Great Place. Without any careful consideration, it was thought that placing containers in the downtown of Gyeongju could be a tragic thing that would not match the race. The container box of the container was considered to be a material that could be interpreted as an existing building, and that it needed to be harmonized with the existing buildings and the urban context of Gyeongju.


SITE INTRODUCTION Gyeongju is a representative cultural tourism city of Korea, and the history of the Silla Dynasty remains intact. Various cultural heritage sites such as Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto are distributed. It must be an attractive tourist attraction for foreigners as well as foreigners. However, recent tourism culture has many problems. The annual number of tourists in Gyeongju is increasing, but the growth rate is decreasing. If you look at the tourist distribution, you're seeing more than 40 percent of those in their 20s, and the rise in foreign tourists, but their return rate is not satisfactory. In other words, the culture of Gyeongju is not diverse, and there is a lack of culture programs for young tourists to enjoy. Therefore, we are looking for ways to cater to tourists ' cultural programs rather than just appreciating cultural heritage sites. I wanted to go ahead with this project.

GYEONGJU

Daejang-dong is the site of 476 square meters in Gyeongju, and the selected area is 660 square meters with 660 square meters. The result of the review of the statutes is that the building blocks are not less than 300 % volume and are designated as a site for railroad idle sites. Inside the temple, there was an existing building that used to be used as a toilet and warehouse in addition to Bulguksa Station. We intend to provide a container of container culture through existing buildings and harmony.

connecting urban 3d context final thesis

This project is my last graduation work. It was originally located in Gongchungdeok-dong, Gangdong-gu, Gangwon Province, where it used to be located. After the wreck, the residents of Nowon and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport remain in a residential area, a neighborhood, a parking lot, and a trash can, as a result of the planned relocation of the housing complex to the residents of Nowon and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
