Senator Elizabeth Warren Visits Camp Taji, Iraq CAMP TAJI MILITARY COMPLEX, Iraq – U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren puts a deployment combat patch on 2nd Lt. Matthew Chasin, assigned to 1st Battalion, 126th Aviation Regiment, 449th Combat Aviation Brigade during her visit to the Middle East July 4, 2018. Warren was accompanied by Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve Commanding General Lt. Gen. Paul Funk to celebrate the holiday and took an opportunity to explain her future goals for Armed Forces members she plans to accomplish this year. Page 8

Warrant officers assigned to the 449th CAB celebrate the 100th birthday of the Warrant Officer Corps at Camp Beuhring, Kuwait, and Camp Taji, Iraq July 9. Warrant officers are our technical experts and often specialize in one field.
100 years of history is significant, but the Warrant Officer rank was established well before the US Army established the Warrant Officer rank. The Warrant Officer is one of the oldest ranks in Western military systems dating back to the earliest years of the British Navy.
CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait - Soldiers assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 449th Combat Aviation Brigade celebrate Christmas in July at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, July 25. The purpose of the event was to boost morale, build unit cohesion and award those that have successfully completed their deployment.

Cadets learn about Aviation CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait - Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Cadets were able to learn more about the aviation branch with the help of pilots and staff officers from the 1st Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment (Assault) as a part of their Cadet Troop Leader Training (CTLT), July 26 at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. The cadets received a brief on the roles and responsibilities of staff sections and were able to ride in a UH-60 Black Hawk. "CTLT classes are more observatory, so this experience closes the gap you learn in ROTC because you see the real-world application," said ROTC Cadet Keegan George.
Task Force Voodoo Facilitates Hot/Cold Load Training
CAMP BUEHRING, Kuwait - Soldiers assigned to the 101st Expeditionary Signal Battalion participate in a hot and cold load training exercise with the help of the 1st Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment (Assault) at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, July 26. This training familiarized Soldiers with how to enter and exit a UH-60 Black Hawk safely .
“It has been a pleasure being your Public Affairs Officer for this deployment. The 449th Combat Aviation Brigade has accomplished great things, and my hope was to effectively document our story, create history and keep our families informed. I hope you found Storm Watch to be a useful tool to CPT Briana McFarland document the many activities of 449th CAB Public Affairs Officer our Soldiers and hopefully gained a bigger understanding on how we fit into the overall mission of Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve. We have produced more than 60 media products to include articles and video releases that have made national and international news media that document the great work that you’ve done. Although this will be out last deployment issue, we will continue to document important missions and activities as well as add to the 2500 photos currently located on Flickr. As we prepare for the arrival of the 35th CAB, I ask that you be mindful of your social media posts and always practice OPSEC.
