My undergraduate major was textile design. But I found that the most interested major for me is jewelry design. so I applied for jewelry design in UCA last year. My first jewelry design expressed the right of animals.
I study in UCA 2018 Pre-sessional English for Art and Design now. We did teamwork with each other and shared different opinions. Once time, our small group did a street review - beginwith local people, we were nervous at ning, but at final we overcame it. It was an interesting experience for me!
I hope I can have my own brand .
My strengths are pattern design and exploring different materials. So I will continue to find out some recyclable and moderate price materials into my design.

In the 10-years process, I continued to search for what I am really passionate about in the field of art & design until l touched jewelry and metalsmithing. When I engaged with jewellery for the first time, I gained incredible inspiration from it. I was not only deeply fascinated by sparkling gems but also felt excitement towards mysterious metals. Performing my creative ideas and emotions through a various types of materials. Moreover, I feel alive creating my works step by step with my hands!
Up to present, I live an abundant and busy life in UK, Sometime I travel to London, Shuttling thorough streets and lanes, exploring the whole new world of my life, and I continue to have a strong curiosity for this nation. In school, I come from a totally different education system and here have had my curiosity aroused and gained lots of brainstorming ideas from peer communication and artists’ videos.
t
In the formal master course, I hope I can try my best to test and research some new materials to combine into my works, furthermore, looking for my own unique jewelry skill and technique, let audiences recognize my work and style at a glance, I think that is my big goal for master degree course. After graduation, I will apply for jewelry brand companies to learn about marketing management and Internal administration. After three years, I wish hope to operate my own jewelry brand studio to design my own jewelry products and sell them. Conducting some jewelry and metalsmith course for the public.

When I started my degree in design I had no idea what design was. Over the last few years I have found out that design is all you can imagine. First, I studied design as a unique discipline, but after a couple of years I focused on Product Design. After my degree, I started working in a company where I was able to expand my knowledge about rapid prototyping and how the industry works. I also love craft activities and one of my hobbies is ceramics. I can spend hours working on a pottery wheel.
I feel lucky to have experienced improving my English through art projects. When the PSEAD course began, I couldn’t imagine what kind of knowledge I would gain; Activism, Sustainability, Eco-design… new windows to the world ready for us to explore. In addition, I had the opportunity to learn about other people’s culture, which were so different from mine.
After these five weeks, I hope I start my MA in Product Design with more confidence in my English abilities. I expect to enjoy everything that UCA has to offer, such as ceramics or glass workshops among others. Above all, I want live this experience to its fullest and improve both as a person and as a designer.

From childhood, The hobbies I enjoyed most as a child were drawing pictures and making crafts, I was always particularly interested in designing by hand. I have been greatly influenced by my father who is involved in the field of architecture. He loved travelling and he never failed to take me to museums and art galleries in the places we visited. These experiences definitely served as a great stepping stone for studying design in England.
I have learnt so many things from PSEAD course for 10 weeks, the most memorable project was ‘ Art and Activism ‘ which was a teamwork. I was very lucky to meet my mates who are passionate, responsible and optimistic. Even if it was not enough time to do a collaboration work, we did the best for this project. Besides, I learnt how to write powerful proposals, great teamwork and presentation from this project. I hope I would keep doing art and activism in the future. At the end, It was precious time for 10weeks and I am very thankful to tutors as always support us, take us to a wonderful places and make us to be a creative thinking.
My final objective is to be a fashion & jewellery designer within 10 years, incorporating an intrinsic identity and individuality of my own. In particular, I have a strong belief that UCA is the optimal institution where I can learn traditional skills and digital craft abilities at the same time. To achieve my success as a fashion and jewellery designer, I hope to base these on not only practical and technical elements but also diverse design projects as well. Furthermore, I will make constant effort to foster critical judgment and professional self-confidence at all times. I believe that this will be the first step to accomplishing my goal of becoming a jewellery designer.
