NEWS
After last years events that OM Romania organized, teachers from the German Primary School in Codlea, Brasov, have been very excited to have us back this year! This time they got the whole school involved, including the Kindergarten! Together with the young volunteers from Betel Church Codlea we organized Sports Competitions to encourage the kids to leave electronics aside and get excited about sports and outdoors activities! There are great life lessons that can be passed on through sports: discipline and character gets shaped more beautifully!

Disabilities - curse of blessing?
We met Roxi at the metting of the Support Group for Families who have Children with Disabilities in Petroşani, Hunedoara, where OM Romania and Joni&Friends Foundation were invited to participate. Roxy has been born without hands from the elbow down. Everybody told her she has no chance in life as she will never be able to write. But she never gave up hoping! She prayed to God every day to help her get into high school. And God has used her mightily to show everyone that He is with her no matter what other people tell her! Roxy not only went to high school, but today she is following the courses of DESIGN and DRAWING in one of the most prestigious Universities in Romania! She is using the hands God have her, just as they are, to bring glory to His name where ever she goes!
Bus4Life The Book Caravan is going to travel again through Romania! This time in an area where it’s not been before: Cluj! There are many churches in this areas and they are very active in organizing events , so we will not focus so much on this. We will try to mobilize them for missions overseas and share our experiences to make them excited about going! *Pray for many new missionaries to start journeys until the ends of the world! *Pray for protection over the driver, Esa, and the bus. And Pray for Luminita and the team she will be working with!
Romanians ‘till the end The 3 Romanians we have aboard the Logos Hope have just arrived in Japan together with the rest of the crew! A new area, a new culture, a new challenge! They are happy and excited to see what God has in plan to do with the ship here! Japan is a country closed to the Gospel and entering here was not easy for the LH. Last visit of the OM Ships in Japan happened many years ago! *Pray for Oliviana (who has been on board for 1 year and 5 months), Cristian (10 months) and Diana (5 months) to be a blessing for the people here! *Pray for the cities of Nagasaki and Kanazawa where the ship will be berthed at! *Pray also for the next ports in South Korea!
Serving Together a great news coming from Central Asia is that Mariana has found her other half! Ruslan is original from the country where Mariana has been serving in the last couple of years. He is a sports teacher doing a great ministry for the Lord! They will get married in Romania in the beggining of July. *Pray for all the preparations for the wedding and for their special day to be blessed by The Lord who has brought them together! *Pray for their future back in Central Asia where they will be serving God in the years to come!
GIVE 3000 Euro

Food for the Hungry As you know, we are trying to offer a warm meal every week to poor people from villages in the South of Romania. Two churches have already been opening their doors to received them! Our desire for this year is to be able to do this for at least two more villages where God’s leads us. For this we need a budget of 3000 Euros that needs to be gathered until the end of May! So far we have 1740 Euros! If you would like to consider supporting us in this with a financial gift you can do that online at www.om.org/ en/give, specifying “Romania - Feeding the Poor Project”
How much for a Donkey? Sister Daneza (left), her two daughters and her husband are living close to the village Sterea in terrible life conditions. Once a week they go to the garbage dumb of Bucharest looking for food. It was there where she found the jacket she is now wearing in the picture. A few months ago, their horse suddenly died. It was their only way to make money: they used to carry wood or hay for people, or even transport people in the wagon. The church would like to help them find at least a donkey to start again with, but because they did not have enough money they wrote a letter to OM. Nice people from all over the world have open their hearts and pockets and asked “How much for the Donkey?” Because of them, the family not only that they got their donkey but also a new cart so they can earn a living with it!
To sail Logos Hope one nautical mile presently costs approximately 80 Euros (equivalent to $104 USD or £70 GBP). Besides bringing the ship from port to port, fuel is also needed to keep the generators running – providing lighting, air conditioning and electricity to make life and ministry on board possible. Would you consider giving the equivalent of a tank of fuel for your car to help take the ships to some of the world’s neediest places? “The work of OM Ships International is impossible without the fuel needed to get the ship to where it is most needed. Your help today will get us there tomorrow.” (Peter Maiden)
