Connectivity and artificial intelligence are the themes at Brigade’s stand

Brigade has a range of systems that use artificial intelligence to predict collisions with unrivalled accuracy. Sidescan®Predictis the next generation of ultrasonic detection. By analysing speed, direction and acceleration of both the vehicle and detected object and differentiating between static and moving objects, the Sidescan®Predict algorithm assesses the risk and calculates the likelihood of an impact.
Designed for rigid vehicles, Sidescan®Predict instantly alerts the driver to potential dangers via a multi-stage in-cab visual warning system, according to the urgency of the situation, thus minimising audible alerts and false alarms. The system can be activated all the time when the speed is below 20mph, without causing driver overload and is not dependent on indicator selection for activation. Sidescan®Predict sensors ensure full coverage down the nearside of the vehicle with a range of two metres and do not activate in relation to roadside furniture or stationery vehicles.
Brigade’s NEW side radar detection has been designed to improve safety on both articulated and rigid vehicles. Previously detection systems were fitted to the tractor unit, but the trailer was neglected due to the articulation causing false alerts. Brigade’s new side radar detection can detect whether the vehicle has a trailer. It is predictive and only warns the driver if a collision is likely via a visual display in the cab. Side radar detects the truck turning, so indicator selection is not required to activate the system.
It has a quick install time of approximately two hours, meaning less vehicle down time.
Emily Hardy, UK Marketing Manager, Brigade Electronics said: “By providing artificial intelligence into a sensor system, safety for articulated vehicles will be revolutionised and support government targets for vision zero.” Also new to Brigade’s product portfolio is the AI camera range. AI cameras are a new generation of active blind-spot detection. Using Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, the cameras detect and recognise the human form within the pre-defined detection zone and reliably warn the driver visually and/or audibly before a possible collision occurs. Image processing is built-in to the camera, meaning no other hardware is required. Three types of cameras are available this spring: one for the front, one for the rear and a premium range camera. CAREYE® is a premium AI camera that is also predictive. It will accurately evaluate images from cameras fitted to the vehicle and is able to calculate the future course of motion of nearby people or objects on the nearside of a vehicle. Based on this data, the system reliably and accurately warns the driver in real time of a possible collision before it occurs. Warnings are issued either actively with an audible and visual red alert if a person or object is at risk of being hit, or passively with a visual yellow alert if, for example, a person or object is moving away from the danger zone – dramatically reducing false alerts.
Brigade has also launched the Brigade Van range, providing operators with quality products at competitive prices in the van sector. The entry level systems are designed for vehicles where space is at a premium. Products include high-definition cameras, sensors, dashcams and digital recording systems. Finally, Brigade will be showcasing their new BRIDGE Telematics range of products. Using Brigade’s BRIDGE live services, customers will now be able to have access to everything remotely; telematics, video and tachograph downloads for any vehicle type.
Cubo Launching New Dash Cam System
After a successful show last year, the team at Cubo are making a return, when they will be joined by some of their industry leading partners.
They will be demonstrating Cubo’s range of telematics solutions on the stand, showing how their latest innovations and integrations keep operators compliant, safe, efficient, and sustainable.
“Our partners are carefully chosen industry leaders and we are delighted to launch CuboCam Pro with Sensata Insights which allows us to offer flexibility to mixed fleets; operators can now have their vans and cars on the
Exeros Technologies set to launch revolutionary technology
While keeping the actual details under wrap, Exeros Technologies Sales Director, Joe Williams, has hinted at what to expect at the CV Show this year, where the new technology will be unveiled.
Always keeping an ear to the ground, Exeros have been working behind the scenes developing hardware and software solutions that will, with absolute certainty, empower fleet operators further and alleviate increased pressures being faced by them in this post-Covid era. The commercial fleet industry has come a long way from where it was just 5 years ago.
However, some constraints remain true.
In this next phase, commercial fleet operators are, now more than ever, under increased pressure to run a cost-efficient fleet whilst meeting demanding safety legislations.
Exeros will be launching a range of advanced vehicle camera technologies that go beyond the base requirements of existing and same platform as HGVs.” CuboCam Pro is a modular HD road-facing/driver-facing dashcam with Automatic Driver Assist System (ADAS) features, perfect for cars and vans with lightning fast self-installation. upcoming safety legislations; the impending updates to GSR2 just to name one.
The new systems will give an even broader meaning to the term “full visibility of fleet” and will feature powerful AI predictive technology. Complementing the company’s video-based technology, there is also a forthcoming powerful single infrastructure for full fleet visibility and easy fleet management - VideMatics®. With legacy systems in the market simply not “doing the job” any longer, this central AI technology platform will push the industry ahead significantly.
Combining traditional telematics features with the sophistication of video data and AI technology, the Video-First platform will act as a central all-in-one platform for fleet operators across the board with many new features that have not yet been seen before.
