New Chairman Elected at IRTE Ireland North Centre

Jeff previously held the role of vice chairman. That position is now filled by Michael Hutchinson, a motor vehicle lecturer who also delivers training at the South Eastern Regional College (SERC) in Lisburn. Other officers elected for the year ahead include Jennifer Beattie – Secretary; Caroline Delaney –Education Officer; and Alan Gault – Treasurer. The committee is now seeking to engage with the membership in Northern Ireland to hear suggestions and other ideas they would like to develop going forward. It already has a number of events planned for the incoming year and dates will be released in due course. “We partnered with several companies last year and would like to thank Dennison

IRTE Ireland North supports HGV and PSV professionals throughout their careers, encouraging high standards in the maintenance of the different sectors within the industry, while striving to promote the safety of the public, employers and employees alike. The branch works with those in the industry providing different webinars and events to promote technological advancements and knowledge to work towards a more environmentally friendly industry. As well as providing the knowledge to ensure proper maintenance and safety of vehicles and workshops, it aims to help those who are apprentices right up to depot managers, chief engineers, and general managers of haulage firms or bus franchises.
